Why Muse?

Look shit thread I know, but I don't care I've just been trying to work something out for a while.

When did we start considering Muse one of the most likely headliners?

I can't remember if it was the daily mail article or the sun article, what pieces of information have we had that points to Muse?

I accepted it in the past because there didn't really seem to be any other strong rumour, but if they are headlining this year it's got to be the strangest booking of the festival in a long while for me. The Second year of their touring cycle, they didn't play that long ago - plus they have played an awful lot.

Neil has also said that he considers Muse most likely, and of course that's got to be from other sources we don't know about, but I must admit i've very much missed where the Muse rumour really originated from.

I thought that actually fell through though, FF. Especially since Rob Da Bank was hardly being subtle about it! I think they could still happen for Bestival this year, as an actual headliner.

Edit: So much so, that I am actually quite confident that between Glastonbury and Bestival, Radiohead and Muse will be headliners. Which way round is yet to be seen.

Muse made their best music while Radiohead were in their experimental period, as soon as Radiohead got back to making great albums Muse' decline started.  Proof if ever needed that Matt Bellamy is some sort of evil succubus.

close, runners up maybe, but sorry that award goes to Hot Chip

Now, that's nonsense. Hot Chip are a fine band, perfectly rated by most on the board, and their WH headline slot confirmed that last year, pure euphoria from start to finish
