Came across this song the other day and I'd never heard of this band before, I really like it though. They're a sort of shoegazy band from Russia. Turns out they released their debut album last year so I'll try and give that a listen soon as well as their new album at the end of the month.

Enjoyed that.

I'm currently doing my annual SXSW trawl (listen to everyone playing the show cases at SXSW), usually the finds from this are a year or so early for them to get booked for Glastonbury.  Right now though I'm thinking Astronauts etc. would go lovely on West Holts

And a little something for John Peel

Everything Else Matters was my favourite album of 2015. Absolutely astounding stuff.  Can't wait for the new one.

Has anyone heard the new Roly Porter album?  I've never heard of him before, but stumbled across a review and had to check it out.  Very abstract / experimental stuff, but some of it is fucking mind blowing (stick with it past the first minute of weird noise)...

Aha at least one act I'm waiting for an album from seems to be getting it together this year :

Park or John Peel maybe.

Enjoy their (disturbing and maybe NSFW) video for Moving Parts

I've said before they are it Foals let The Mars Volta compose a song for them, so hipster indie darlings to the max!  If you like that idea (like I do) then you'll hopefully enjoy :D

I'm not sure where my heads been these past couple years, but i've literally just come across these guys this evening... See they played in 2013 in the Croissant Neuf, but reading they're just about to release a new album and have a load of dates running up to fest. Just superb... Please oh please.

Just Splendid

Wonderful stuff.

Saw him in JP a few year's back, and it was brilliant, it translates really well to live.  He headlined Park, so I'm guessing high JP or high West Holts.  I'd be happy with either.  West Holts Sunday would be best as it is nearer my car :D

Its a stunning little comeback song that.

And he really does his stuff justice live I agree. Ive been lucky to catch him a few times although never at Glasto. I would love him to be heading West Holts vs something like coldplay. Just so long as it doesnt clash with LCD!

    • Skylink is 24 hours... But the skylink will drop you off at Pegasus business Park or EMA (East Midlands Airport) where you'll have to use the Download shuttle link, which isn't 24 hours. The last shuttle from the Download transport hub to EMA is 12:15 TrentBarton / Local bus info here: https://www.trentbarton.co.uk/download2026   Skylink Derby / Leicester / Loughborough timetable here: https://www.trentbarton.co.uk/services/skylinkderby  Shuttle timetable here: https://www.trentbarton.co.uk/userfiles/hotel.pdf If you miss the shuttle, which is very doubtful, you'll just have to find another way to EMA / Pegasus business park, maybe a taxi. You could even walk to EMA from the Download transport hub, wouldn't take too long. Just make sure you use the airport's 'circular path' instead of the dangerous roads.  I walk the circular path often, it's nice and easy. I would post instructions but I very much doubt you'll miss the shuttle, and if you do, it isn't hard to work out. The footpath is clearly signposted from directly opposite / across the road from where the download map has labelled "Pickup and Drop Off Exit."
    • So for Harry Styles it was actually a plastic bag that basically blocks the view of the front and back cameras. You can still use the phone screen. It's much easier than using lockers, especially for people leaving for the last train etc    I think it's basically reliant on the threat of security kicking you out if you start filming.
    • Hey, does anybody have a joining link for the WhatsApp group plz? I know the secret sets get posted there but have a new phone and number
    • Do you think they'll release today's cupra pulse lineup?
    • I had a great time yesterday and came to the conclusion that everytime (or, more accurately, both times) I didn't have a great time at Primavera, it was water-related. Either there was too much of it (Thursday 2026) or there wasn't enough (Thursday 2022, week 1).
