Silver street is a road in Glastonbury town itself (just of the high street). Nearly every town in Somerset has a Silver Street. No idea why that's listed as the location, though.

the only artist I still really want to see live before i shuffle off this mortal coil is Tom Waits. But I expect there is almost zero chance of this happening at Glastonbury, but if it did happen the ideal stage would be in the circus big top it would suit his slightly macabre ringmaster persona, it would be a bit small of course but this is all pure fantasy anyway.

From the options you offer it has got to be Elton, Crocodile Rock, Rocket Man, Saturday Night etc would be brilliant on a hot sunny afternoon at the pyramid stage.

The Kinks as an entity are, sadly no more.  But Ray Davies' Choral Kinks a couple of years ago, remains one of my outstanding Glasto memories. Trouble is, he's done that now and I can't see it being bettered.

Ray Davies' voice is pretty much gone now, I've seen him twice in the past 2 years and there is a marked deterioration in his voice between those 2 gigs.

i think he would be great for a smaller venue though.
