This is one of the best:

1.9/10 for Lateralus. Our generation's Dark Side of the Moon.

Even if you think TOOL are the worst band of all time, 1.9/10 would still be harsh :P

Blasphemy!

edit: "I believe that music comes and goes in cycles, and some of us are lucky enough to ride the crests. The men in my family are perfect examples of this."

This review is just hilarious. He then talks about what his parents listened to.

Confession time.  My name is Stuartbert Two Hats and I :

  • Am not bothered by either version of True Love Waits.  Just skipped it and went back to the start
  • Don't feel the urge to ever listen to the non-album songs other than Supercollider.  That includes The Daily Mail.

Huge slurs! Talk Show Host? These Are My Twisted Words? Staircase? Banana Co.? Pearly?

As hard as I try, I'm struggling to get

"Broken Hearts, Make It Rain ... Broken Hearts, Make It Raaaaiiiiinnnn"

out of my head!

I'm exactly the same, Sir! I think when the choir kicks in singing it is my favourite part of the whole album so far. I know everybody is loving "The Numbers" and I do love it, but is anybody else disappointed by the crescendo at the end which amounts to nothing? I was hoping they'd go all Sigur Ros on us!

I would certainly agree that when the choir kicks in on Identikit is the highlight of the album for me.

The thought at the possibility of this with a live choir at the Roundhouse is mouth-watering to say the least!

1. In Rainbows

2. OK Computer

3. The Bends

4. The King Of Limbs

5. Hail To The Thief

That changes quite a lot, but I think this new album is destined to be one of my least favourites.

Listening through the albums to verify this. Turns out The Bends isn't as good as I remember being. Bit boring and I probably enjoyed Pablo Honey more. Step forward Kid A.

i am not a big radiohead fan but I did get apple music recently and so i listened to the latest three albums. I think the latest one is very accomplished musically but it doesn't do a right lot for me.

It has however made me realise that in rainbows is an utter classic and tour de force. You'll make a fan out of me yet. can't believe it is almost 10 years old in Rainbows. I think I was too caught up in the indie pop scene of 2005-2008 at that time to appreciate it properly.

1. Daydreaming

2. Identikit

3. Ful Stop

4/5. BTW/Decks Dark

6. Glass Eyes

7. Present Tense

8. True Love Waits

9. Desert Island Disk

10. The Numbers

11. Tinker Tailor

Very jealous of anyone going to the Roundhouse, even though I'm seeing them in Berlin it feels like aaaages away. If they do take the string orchestra on the tour with them I still hope they'll keep them for the festivals!

Daydreaming has been playing in my head since the day it came out, properly burrowed it's way in there, I think it's wonderful. It's a testament to Identikit that I've rated that higher.

Agree it's early days to be listing the songs though. If it wasn't already the opener I could see myself skipping to Burn The Witch every time I put the album on. It's such a visceral track (oh yeah, I went with 'visceral', I know what thread I'm in).

The Eminem Show one is my favourite. I'm not sure what the author was on when he wrote it but it's brilliant, I think there was some sort of deal that his review wouldn't be edited so he could put whatever he wanted. it get's the same score as A Moon Shaped Pool to. 9.1/10

Pitchfork gave Lateralus 1.9?

Pitchfork can fuck off. Lateralus is as you have said an extremely important and influential album and they give it 1.9? PLEASE! MY DOG DESERVES MORE THAN 1.9 AND MY DOG IS SHIT*

    • Yeh, the quiet camping also seems to be on the same side (broadly) as the bits of the festival that go on the latest (Far Out / Chai Waalahs / RTT until 4am). We're always in Tangerine Fields which is right behind the main stage and as soon as that and Rising Stage are done it's pretty quiet (midnight onwards) which I'd guess is pretty similar if you can hack taking all your gear from the car past the big tree in the middle and into the campsites that side.
    • Can't see Bimble line up anywhere - am I being dense and missing an obvious release somewhere?
    • Not expecting a tour imminently but Peter Gabriel would fit the vibes magnificently.
    • I have but a very long time ago and can remember nothing about it at all. Which I suppose is a review of sorts
    • Addison Rae has 33m instagram followers, Slayyyter 667k. Also 15 to 7,5 million spotify listeners with Addison's last release being more than a year ago. Obviously these metrics aren't everything, but still there is a big gap in popularity between the two.
