Best song they ever wrote is a three way tie between Reckoner, Let Down and Paranoid Android ;)

All good choices.  I was watching the '97 headline set earlier and that performance of Paranoid Android reminds me why people love it so much when I often overlook it.

If the whole album ends up being like Spectre I think many would be disappointed, but I personally would lap it up.

Some of my favourite Radiohead songs missed off (How to Disappear Completely, Nude, Motion Picture Soundtrack, Seperator, Lucky) and some of the bigger hits missed off (No Surprises, Just, Fake Plastic Trees, High & Dry etc.) but I reckon this setlist would be magnificent...

Setlist

  1. Airbag

  2. Lotus Flower

  3. The National Anthem

  4. Weird Fishes/Arpeggi

  5. Let Down

  6. [new song]

  7. There There (The Boney King of Nowhere)

  8. Karma Police

  9. [new song]

  10. [new song]

  11. House of Cards

  12. Talk Show Host

  13. Pyramid Song

  14. Dollars and Cents

  15. Idioteque

  16. Street Spirit (Fade Out)

Encore 1

   17. Exit Music (For a Film)

   18. Paranoid Android

   19. Everything in its Right Place

Encore 2

   20. Creep (OH YES HE HAS)

:P What I'm saying is - hopefully one of the guys I told before Christmas will be along in a sec.

I dunno about the other guy though, I didn't know what to think of him. Obviously he'd been drinking as well. Just thought it would be worth a share now...

Can confirm - Matt told me this.

you win this game

I'm picturing Let Down on the Pyramid now and I think I'd be on the floor in a puddle of my own tears if it happened.

You forgot Let Down.

Paranoid Android was probably the worst song when I saw them in Manchester in 2012 (and it's one of my favourite songs).

fingers crossed IOW got Muse and we got Radiohead. any reason to think Muse won't be there? has he ruled them out?

Muse appear to be playing in Sweden on the remaining IOW day. There is still R&L, though, which makes more sense than Glastonbury. I was thinking they'd have been announced first for it if they were playing, but now I know they still have tour tickets to sell it's feasible.

Just realised I've left Reckoner (my favourite Radiohead song) out. Stick that after Talk Show Host and before Pyramid Song.

    • When I was in the cinema to watch The Odyssey a few weeks ago, I saw a trailer for a film called One Night Only. Premise is a rom-com but with a backdrop that it's the one night of the year where non-marital sex is legal.   Some of the background mechanics as to how this works as per the reviews seem creepy and like something a lot of people wouldn't just accept and go with. How you marry that to a rom-com narrative is bizarre.
    • Thanks for all your comments regarding the location to pitch ... much appreciated 👏
    • Have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, Coben based TV shows aren't your cup of tea?
    • Could Raye potentially be a headliner? If we're dead certain about a female headliner, that seems like a decent bet.
    • Indeed it could always be that. As much as I don't think they'd want Fender on his second year back, if they got Fontaines they've toured what feels like forever now    The thing with Sabrina is, I think they go for her rather than Olivia Dean 4 years in a row appearing and if Olivia has said no I reckon Sabrina isn't available either.  If that's being announced soon it'll be sold out way before Glastonbury is announced.
