I've seen a few people mention Adele fans getting confused. Why are people so fascinated by this? It's not like this is some unknown Norwegian thrash metal band for fuck's sake. It's Radiohead. Likewise the Pyramid field will not suddenly become awash with middle aged women as soon as Adele appears on stage. It will be the average Glastonbury punter for both sets, and the average punter is capable of telling the difference.

It depends what kind of setlist they play, but if they don't play many from The Bends or OK Computer then a lot of people won't have a clue what the songs are.

If they do sub adele, I think we can say with a fair amount if certainty that they would play a hit friendly set, with 3 or 4 from AMSP thrown in. And I, for one, am very very excited by the thought of it!!!!

I think you're generalising. They are a headline sized act. There will be plenty of people familiar with their work. Even the recent material.

Should add that I do think they'll bring the hits (well, more popular stuff) to the Pyramid. Wouldn't shock me to see Creep make an appearance.

Plenty of people yes, but in terms of crowd percentage I don't think so to be honest. They're a headline act, but the three acts who are headlining will have a much more crowd friendly setlist unless Radiohead play them songs. All three headliners songs will be familiar to the audience whether they play their old or new songs. I'm talking in terms of the whole crowd here. Most people in the crowd for  them will probably be familiar with pretty much every song.

You mean you don't remember the absolute carnage the last time two ostensibly pretty different but still mainstream, conventional acts played one after another?

To be honest I tend to stick around until after the crowds have calmed down so don't usually notice.

I can't really see them playing much pre-Kid A on this tour now except for playing maybe Paranoid Android, Airbag, Karma Police and Lucky on the odd occasion. They have too many big albums now from the past 15 years like Kid A, Hail to the thief, In Rainbows and this new one that'll they'll easily fill a set with. I think it'll be very rare for them to play anything from Pablo Honey or The Bends. The Bends is a tiny bit more likely but still very unlikely.

A large percentage of Radiohead's fans *are* middle aged women now anyway!

Only problem with Paranoid Android is that you're practically begging for it to piss down.

Of all the big pre-Kid A songs I'd love to see on the Pyramid it would be Karma Police. Just fot the singalong.

Early polling suggests that Adele's crowd will be way, way younger and ready to take it off the dial than the balding sea of Guardian readers who will congregate for the 'head.
