Looking at Bestival's previous headliners, radiohead would be a massive curveball in my opinion.

you think? Rob Da Bank has made it no secret that he pursues both them and Arcade Fire yearly for the festival, so if given the chance he'd jump at it. a bit more downbeat than your average Bestival headliner, but if you're offered Radiohead you sure ain't gonna turn them down

Rob da Bank may be a fan, but to me they are very different to the headliners he books, which seem to be more "radio friendly" in my opinion.

I can definitely see Disclosure being a headliner (and the reason why they are not a leeds / reading exclusive).

I could be well wrong, it is just how I read it

for the most part yeah, but he's also had stuff like My Bloody Valentine headline which isn't exactly radio friendly. think Radiohead are a very real possibility for them (along with two more 'fun' headliners)

may be right about Disclosure, although they're promoting their own Wildlife festival pretty hard on social media so they may just be playing that

It's on the Sunday of Glastonbury. Which would probably only make Friday particularly likely - it is clearly possible to play Glasto and Dublin in two successive nights but probably not that desirable given Glasto's location - they'd need to get to Bristol airport on the same morning as the gig and then fly across etc. So not sure if it increases or reduces the chances...

It DEFINTELY increases their chances of playing, they have nothing else on that weekend, it makes perfect sense to me...

Neil says he reckons he has the Other headliners pinned down though. So maybe West Holts?

Would love to see them at Glasto but if they headline a stage on the Friday they're up against LCD Soundsystem most likely...

Just because they're close doesn't mean they'll play. Loads of bands don't play Glasto for whatever reason. This date takes Sunday out and makes the Saturday less likely...

40 minute flight and then a 40 minute drive. No problem.

Hot Chip headlined Thurs in 2012, The Cure the year before, Major Lazer have played pretty prominent slots a lot in recent years... sorry Bestival, you're losing it.

It is all a little repetitive isn't it

Years and Years and playing Sunday main stage, Ride are on before The Cure on the Saturday night, Major Lazer are on Friday night
