Oasis tour dates

Heard from a good source that Oasis will be announcing tour dates within a week or so.

Would this put them in line to visit the farm?

Would they headline?

Would they go for the money IOW offers?

That is of course if they do any festivals.

Saw the on their last tour and they weren't particularly good due to atmosphere between the Gallagher brothers.

Hhmmm...not sure about this. Would Bonehead be involved? Andy Bell is busy with Ride these days.

I think Noel looks pretty happy doing his thing at the moment. When does he finish touring (or has he already)?

EDIT: Just seen previous post

Id like to know how reliable this source is? If, and I still think its a big IF, they reunite and tour id expect them to be a headliner. Would also fit in with Michael saying that 4 of the 6 headliners booked for the next 2 years have played before at the festival.

Only source I've managed to dig is one from the "metro" the same place what said Klopp had a 3 year contract a few hours after Brendan got sacked. I can't see it being true.

Really should be remembered that Michael is not to be trusted

Think the rumours are bullshit myself, for the reasons listed above. Even if they are coming back they won't play Glastonbury. Noel has repeatedly said he'd only do it for the money which would rule Glasto out in favour of a mega money deal with IOW or Reading/Leeds.

Wouldn't see them anyway, they haven't been good for about 20 years.

If/when Oasis come back they'll be looking to make as much as possible from it. Can see them going down the Roses route of 2/3 huge outdoor shows (maybe Knebworth again) with accompanying documentary and a lucrative festival exclusive contract. Glastonbury wouldn't enter into their thinking.

Anyone who saw Beady Eye a couple of years ago will be glad.

As much is this is very much my teenage era, Liams voice is shot and he'd be a miserable git again. Although I'm sure when Beady Eye last played he said he finallly had enjoyed a Glasto.

Enjoyed them in 04 but listening back they were terrible! I was hammered mind.

We camped in Oxylers that year and remember been woke up by the sound testing, then couldn't get back to sleep for the sound of Liam's irritating voice!

The only reason Oasis would ever do the fest is if Noel thinks they still haven't 'nailed it'. He's said that in the past about their performances.

My suspicions about any reunion would be: lots of money would be made, it'd be shite (Liam's voice for starters), and there'd be no chance of a ticket in the resale if they did play G.

    • Rumours are it's called The Lost Tour. In the US in September. Ireland in November (so UK+Europe a good bet around November/early December).
    • Hey guys, is there a group going for any solo y not goers this year?? I couldn’t miss out once I saw the acts but it’s just me and would be great to meet some others:))
    • After deciding to abandon the festival, here's a few of my thoughts (mostly negative tbf).    On the positive side - was it just me or were there a few more urinals than last year? Seemed to help the queues at the loos a bit from what i saw. Plus they had at least had some foresight and had a few more covered areas in the VIP areas.    Now on the negatives.  The weather was admittedly pretty crap but it wasn't apocalyptic. How the actual f**k are bits of the main stage falling off in those conditions?  Then the communication was awful, there's a load of people who left the site because they were told by security guards/other personnel that there would be no more acts on the main stage this evening.  You have an app Primavera, use it! Yes, there's a shitload going on I'm sure but communication with the festivalgoers should be one of the top priorities. You failed.    And I'm not usually somebody who buys into the whole "oh this is hugely unsafe and it's lucky people weren't hurt" narrative, but all the above led to movements of people that were genuinely unsafe.  Evacuating Mordor entirely (again... Why???) and then having a horde of people trying to get in because they thought they were going to Massive Attack was insane.  And given a lot of people basically abandoned ship around 10.30pm the crush at both the exit to the festival and the entrance to the Metro was pretty dangerous.   Conditions happen, most people will get that....but the contingencies have to be better.
    • You'd think that something like bad weather was in the basics of festival planning. After the shitshow of Madrid, you'd think they'd learnt their lesson, apparently not...
    • Same. Shower and back out in a taxi!
