Is it just my eyes or has the ribbon tower changed colour from previous years?

Talking of colour changes, the urinals have changed from bright blue to green, on the pyramid stage at least. Is that new?

I was wondering whether maybe that was to blend them in better with the grass in any crowd shots of the Pyramid? But if it's everywhere then maybe there's a blue tarp shortage!

Or (totally hypothesising here) given that as a general rule Blue dyes tends to be a bit more artificial - the green is environmentally more sound?

I have always wanted to be there on a day like today a couple of days before gates open, just to see how all the build is finally put together and how all the traders squeeze into their pitches, I would find it fascinating. The logistics of getting everything/everyone in the right place so soon before doors open must be immense. Fair play to them, in a couple of days they will be where they need to be and ready for the carnage to follow!

    • Generally shorter too, I imagine. 🙂
    • Will that work for arenas with seats? People will have their tickets on their phones and needs to find their seat.
    • Excellent new release from overpass today - well worth checking out.
    • Having lived here for 2 and a half years now my take is that security, safety and organisation are just not a priority in Spain. It's not even exclusive to festivals. It's a part of everything.   Simple example. I'm Irish and in Ireland if you assemble a construction site you have to adhere to a lot of regulations about cordoning off the site so nobody can enter and get injured. Here, you're walking down the foot path and suddenly without any warning you're in a construction site. If not, you'll suddenly find yourself directed onto the road to get around the construction.   Life is more laid back here in general. Pros and cons.
