Coachella. Thats the current version with the main PA raised above the screens so it obscures nothing. First version of their all screen stage  debuted in 2016 and has just evolved with the times since then. Reading and Leeds have a variant of it and put theirs to use in 2017. If you wanna see the evolution of it check this video. If you wanna see what Other could be like then check the other video below. Thats Outdoor theater which is Coachellas 2nd stage and equivelant to Other. But yeah, big screens and lots of room for production. at the 9 min mark of the above and beyond vid youll see drone footage of both stages going with their respective large crowds

I appreciate that they couldn't do it for the whole other stage crowd area, but R&L Chevron stage https://www.specialstructures.com/projectlibrary/chevron would be ideal for The Prodigy on the Sunday.

so they really have the structure to do this? Doesnt look like it to me. Also if youre doing this then the screens better be 4k capable also

Personally I think this looks hideous. Would much rather a more modest stage and screens and be able to see trees, hills and the tops of other stages/tents. As long as the sound is good, I'm not really fussed about jumbo screens.

That’s the new glade tent it’s  shifted about a bit this year . Intrigued what it will look like as it seems really close to the bar in the trees

yeah. It does its job really well. ive said it before when its come up about the set up at Pyramid and such, but its hard to keep the people in the back engaged if they legit cannot see whats happening. Its a fact if youre not in the front standing area you will see nothing at all due to the flags and have to rely on the screens. Figure out a way to take those out of the equation and the ones far away might have a better time.  One of the most recent examples was Justice. Which would seem more engaging to you if youre there. I would like to see the actual stage, but thats just me

Fence is usually finished by the first few days of June, minus a few bits up by Mikes house where certain landowners refuse to have it up until the week or so before. the the crew usually end up helping elsewhere on site

you don’t get a free/guest ticket as part of the deal?

Me? Or the crew? They usually do end up with a ticket each, but it’s not guaranteed and the bosses take the guest tickets

In fact one year, the crew had to vacate their cabins so that the head office bosses could come and stay in them during the festival, and got them back after

You and the fence builders!

Do you mean bosses of the company who provide the fence?

the fence builders will end up with tickets no doubt, it doesnt happen til the festival is nearly there though i guess so no one scarpers before the work is complete

Pillars in Greenpeace are the Greenpeace stage. I think we commented on them last year when it was a new stage set up.
