I’m excited for spider arrival which I think is likely next week

Yep, that will be one of my highlights this year. Pangea was ok, but I missed the spider in 2019.

It's been 5 years!

If anyone wants a sneak peek at the new glade stage I’m posting it in the spoiler thread now 😁

Do I or don’t I … that is the question … not a huge spoiler … it’s the spike bar

Missing the one that’s usually at the far left of the shot.

Looks like two accessibility platforms for the Pyramid this year. Isn’t it usually one?

Keep waiting for the trackways to be laid down in Silver Hayes!

I was thinking about the trackway around the OS earlier.

It had already been laid by this point in 2019.

Love Saves the Day is next Thursday/Friday so I expect they’ll pack that up and stuff will begin to arrive in Silver Hayes after that.

they definitely had 2 in 2019 ☝️ and I'm pretty sure they have had 2 for the past few years. I've checked my iPhone photos and I'm pretty sure I can see 2 in a panorama I did in 2013. Can't tell from the webcam history as the right hand one seems to be further up the field than now and is masked by the bushes

    • I agree that we’ll never really know up until the concert happens (and even then we still may not know) but I think promoters are having to come up with new tactics to combat ‘blue dot fever’ (already hating that phrase!) and trying to imply that concerts are selling better than they actually are / available tickets are in short supply is definitely one of them.    To add though, it is quite common at the O2 Arena for the rear blocks to not go on sale (and then remain closed for the concert and covered over to hide the empty seats). And equally common for standing to sell out first, then side/lower tier seating next and rear/upper tier seating last.    Jungle’s two concerts at the O2 are a good comparison for this - for their 1st (announced) date, all blocks are on sale and seats in all sections remain unsold, whereas for their 2nd date, the rear blocks are greyed out (more so than for Muse) and equally lots of seats remain unsold in the blue blocks. Standing for both concerts are showing as sold out.
    • MGK can and should headline. I was at one of his shows earlier in the year as a very casual fan, and there were a lot of alt people there. The show was actually class and he completely won me over. Anyone who opposes him headlining is just a gatekeeper imo, we need to move with the times.
    • Ultimately Glasto is just part of the festival circuit, however special we may think it is. The vast majority of its headliners have done many others
    • From Magyar’s FB:   ”Our country's energy and water supply is stable. As of today, voluntary consumption reduction is no longer necessary. The turbine at the Paks power plant is generating stably. Thanks to precipitation in Austria, the water level of the Danube will temporarily rise by 20–30 centimeters. Thank you, Hungary, for the unprecedented national unity shown in recent days! We have much to be proud of, and much to carry forward into the period ahead.”
    • I hope it stays under £400.  A lot of us aren't flush with cash.  Charities are great but do they need £1 mil (I jest)
