Trackway to allow the heavy lifting crane to get into place so it can lift the goalposts for the screens.

I’m going for 2pm screen rigging lift

I don’t think we’ll get that until a taller crane arrives. Doesn’t look to be the kind of equipment that could facilitate a lift on site right now.

They are also expensive to hire per day so it might wait until there is more lifting required.

Here's my Javascript tool for retrieving webcam images, including stitching together the super high resolution images if they're available:

https://www.tievolu.co.uk/glasto/GlastoWebcamTool.html

Choose your date/time then click the image to download the highest resolution available in a new window. If the super high resolution image parts don't exist, or can't be downloaded for some reason, it downloads the "default" resolution instead.

Note: I can't be bothered to make it look nicer 😀

(I've had to use an open CORS proxy because the server responses for the older high resolution part images don't have the Access-Control-Allow-Origin header set. This seems to be an oversight, because recent snapshots have Access-Control-Allow-Origin set to allow all origins, as do the redirect URLs for the old images - but the response when retrieving the final URL does not. The CORS proxy is a bit of a fudge, and it's limited to 5 requests per second so it might not work properly sometimes.)

Here's a shot of when the rigging was lifted in 2019, on 18th June (!!)

Wow that’s shows how far ahead we are 🙂

by we … I mean they …

2019 was particularly late for the setup, here's a pic from 2017 from 9th May. We are still ahead, but only by about 10 days or so

In the scheme of things 10 days to me is a long time with a build like this … when I see how close to the wire things often get … pier I’m looking at you …. There’s not such a big amount of time left to build a city … and it’s great to see anything ahead

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
