Apologies for getting your name wrong!! Dyslexia and my not wearing my glasses is no excuse! Apologies again!!
what do you mean Santa is real!! 🎅🏻

No need to apologise,  I answer to all sorts...

I'm not going to diss Santa,  but his little helpers are a different kettle of fish.

What an amazing picture! Thing I always think about imagery of an empty iconic pyramid... the things that have gone on in that field man...

It deserves to be a site of special interest in the future, as much as any other historic building does.

There is an argument for it to be listed, https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/apply-for-listing/

It would be idiotic to list it. If it was, Mendip District Council would have to approve any change through the planning system. Having spent 2 years getting permission to change my own front door I wouldn't recommend having anything do with those clowns. By the time you had permission to put the skin on it would be the following year.

I didn’t say it was a great argument. Listing consent could include it being dressed.

I agree it’s such an iconic structure and does represent a huge part of the musical and cultural heritage of the country. But it’s a work in progress, it comes alive almost every summer and becomes a focus for all of us. It’s not ready to become just a historic structure like an old castle, it has, hopefully, many years ahead of it.  Creating more historic performances, more incredible memories for those lucky enough to be on the farm and those who have still to experience it.  It will be a long time before it becomes just a historic building.

    • yes, but it will be called a care tax...much nicer name...and they will bin inheritance tax which no one likes even though most people don't pay it....and it will be used to pay for your granny. Burnham is obviously the saviour and will win labour another landslide because he's nice northern lad and not some sir c**t from surrey.
    • Hey, I correctly predicted the entire Bizkit Main Stage day months in advance 😝
    • Its just going to be another dementia tax isn't it? The issue is this is going to be seen as a continuation of the labour government that have already raised taxes 1000% above manifesto promises.
    • One thing that Burnham has been talking about is scrapping inheritance tax and replace it with a social care levy ... which would be less progressive, but might be a good idea if was a solution for the social care crisis. Would need to sell it well to a public who would prefer not to pay more tax.
    • Maybe you should put your name forward to be Burnham's chancellor.
