Nah it's normally way in front of the soundstages, fairly close to the main stage.

The track is roughly where the barriers are on Wednesday and Thursday, to stop people getting close to the stage. Not quite sure if there's any significance that, but it's probably just a track for vehicles.

Yeah, mystery solved, there's a gert big crane on the track now, obviously just protecting the ground

Here's a webcam-shot of the site where the german southside festival will be going on. It starts next weekend aswell, and they haven't even started to build their 4 stages.

I'd say yes. It's a pretty big slope so any mouisture in the ground will always drain away from up there to lower ground. It really hasn't rained a lot in the last few months.

They've got about 4-6 hours worth of work to do on it. All the structural stuff is in place, it'll be fine.

I've been on a Festival site before with nearly as much work to do on the main stage and about 5 hours until first band - they made it comfortably.
