i think the Maccabees would be a great JP headliner, just hope there's not any mega clashes elsewhere, i've already ruled out the Pyramid and Other for opposed headliners, so hopefully!

Guessing that means someone got it correct since his lost comment?

Good for a little fun but so hard to predict it from the names. Personally I'd have actually thought based on recent times it'll be generally younger based acts headlining it, but I don't think Catfish will be one and I didn't suggest it either.

Is there a reason why John Peel headliners only seem to get an hour? Just wondering because I am probably gonna end up in here at least once this year. Would be disappointing seeing potentially Suede or SFA only do an hour set.

agree they should get more when its a bigger act, i guess cos its traditionally new bands...so they can have more bands and a new band headlining wont have the material

That makes sense I guess. Hopeful of SFA doing the Park but can't imagine anywhere I would rather see Suede than JP. Certainly wouldn't want to see them a few down on Other stage if I had a choice.

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
