Actually, we squeezed Cumbia All Stars in, partially because they played where the pear cider flows. 

But we've never been cool. ;)

 

 

How were they? Would have liked to have seen them, but Lionel won the toss.

 

Pretty good, they are the leaders in their field, plus I have soft spot for Peruvian sounds, so I'm probably biased.

Re: Assange, the song was clearly dedicated specifically to his Wikileaks work, whether he did rape somebody or not, he still did something ballsy, important and commendable. People can still be inspired by Phil Spector, sometimes people who have done good things can do shit things as well, but it doesn't mean the good things shouldn't still be admired if it's for the greater good. I do think Chelsea Manning should still be in the public consciousness though, would've been nice to hear Patti give her a shout out.

Didn't expect to enjoy Patti as much as I did, but bloody hell what a gig that was! Her presence over the field was amazing, easily one of my favorite ever Glastonbury gigs!

 

(and I would have felt like that without the Dalai Lama turning up to plug his O2 show at 90 quid a pop ;), joking aside that was a real moment)

Need to actually get around to listening to her stuff. I walked over to the pyramid to watch the second half of her set since Palma Violets were shit, I'd heard the Lama might show up and people seemed to like her a lot on here. Despite knowing none of the stuff I really enjoyed it, very glad I saw her.

Hi, does anyone have a ripped version of the video? It's vanished from youtube and iplayer and it was one of my favourite gigs I've ever been to. Must have it!

 

Not that I would condone this sort of behaviour, or even know how to do it, but (I heard) its available via various torrent sharing sites.
