I was a bit baffled by all the questions about vehicles, as I don't have any, and then, in the final section where they want to tell you how to do better, they kept recommending me to walk more, which was weird. It was as if the bottom line was everyone has motorised transport and should use it less. Which is somewhat of an USA/Canada/Australia thing. Easier and more common to get by without in Europe. Not to mention places where private vehicles are really rare and expensive for most of the population (they did accommodate for that when asking about homes). The pet question never fails to amuse me. We don't have any now, but for a couple of years had 2 Guinea pigs, who were hand-me-downs from a woman who had to move. They were, by nature, entirely vegetarian and really cheap and low-impact to cater for: water, hay, grass, vegetable peels and cuts. Big difference to keeping 2 Labradors, but hey.

2.4 for me. Interesting, I do not drive or have car, but LTNs have been the bane of my life for the last 3 years, as all the traffic that got banned from the lovely and relatively quiet roads near me now goes around the block past my doorstep. Funny old world. Where does the traffic from go in the case of your local LTNs? I am utterly fed up with us having to breath, hear and smell the combined crap others don't want on their patch. Plus, the buses we need are now often stuck for ages.

Yes. This. We went to see Sparks at the Park, and then (slowly, tent stop over, drinks, toilet etc) meandered over to SE corner, thinking we'd beat the post head liner rush. We got in no problem, well before midnight, no queue - but the place was rammed already. Not in a bad or unsafe way, but really full. Block 9, Unfairground... we never made it to the Truth stage (that had been the original plan), but took a side path to the Stone Circle, just to get out, thinking that it would get even more rammed within the next hour or 2.

It seems to be very uneven. From where I sit, it's dealing with the GP level that can be really difficult - once I'd been referred to the specialists everything was pretty good, apart from the long waiting times.

Yes. Thank you. As some who reads this thread occasionally (and used to be more active on this forum), the constant needling, bickering and name calling is just unbelievably boring, and the temptation to join is practically zero.

Londoner here (Finsbury Park). About 39 degrees. No signs of fires around here, but I do feel for the firefighters! That people need to be told not to have barbecues and bonfires under these conditions is..... interesting.

I took my son in a trolley once he was a bit bigger (3). At 11 months, he was happiest in a sling or back carrier, falling asleep snuggled up to a parent. Plus, I was still feeding, so easy to calm him (might not be the case in your family). Highly likely, baby will have sensory overload - so fall asleep at odd times. Mine was the lousiest sleeper, ever. But even he crashed out. Depends a bit on how much routine matters to you. As long as you can carry them with you, you can go wherever you want with them. If you are able to carry them, you can be out and about as long as you like. But one of you has to be fit in the morning! 🤪 I wouldn't worry too much about a baby crying in family camping. People are prepared for that. It's what babies do. I remember one night, a kid being sick (not mine, fortunately!), crying and swearing like a trooper. No one batted an eyelid (or if they did, they kept quiet about it).

Someone who claims to be 35 years old (elsewhere) would have no idea what the festival was like before the super-fence went up. Just saying.

Hi, Should be fine, there usually is plenty of space and it is one of the best festivals to do with kids (all ages). What are you worried about, anything specific? I took my son to Glastonbury, aged 1, and then to WOMAD aged 2, 4, 5 .... happy to share tips. I'd say the main thing that could throw a spanner in the works is really bad weather - depends a bit on your tent and what you are willing to put up with. Most things you need you can get at the festival or nearby town, should you forget anything.

Girlfriends are nothing but trouble!
