100k wow, surprised i've not heard of that

isn't that bigger than gov ball? what happened to it

It was about the same size as Gov Ball, same number of stages and held on the same gounds (randalls island).  They only did it for 3 years, 2016 2017 and 2018.  Gov Ball was always early June, and I think Panorama was in July.

Not sure why it ended.  Maybe they couldn't use the island for the festival anymore - since 2019 Gov Ball hasnt been held their either. In 2019 Panorama announced a "hiatus" and then the pandemic happened; I doubt it's ever coming back. There was honestly not a lot of difference in the two festivals, apart from the main stage at Panorama which had this massive LED panoramic screen that wrapped around the front back and sides.  It was pretty cool.

At this stage I’d bite your hand off for either an album or some live dates he actually takes seriously. No expectation of both but currently we’ve had neither in over half a decade which is just shit frankly. He’s done well to still be seen as relevant enough for Coachella only to blow it. Very disappointing.

Defo, if the show had gone to plan, it definitely sounded like it had potential to be an all-timer, do still think nothing will beat Beychella though, that looked outstanding. Really hope we get an album soon, it's been too long. I'm sure that'll do some crazy numbers when/if something comes out.

For a fracture he sure was enjoying himself on stage jumping up and down and running around. Florence Welch broke her foot on that stage and finished her set. Then came back a week later and  sat. Axl Rose broke his foot 2 weeks before Coachella and had the Grohl Throne. Im sorry, Frank found a way to get out of this and the medical excuse is valid and allows an out for him and the fest and dont gotta fully pay his ass. Blink will be fun. You guys just want them to do the lazy bump up thing and such like the eeavi. If blink hadnt played last week and they dropped this news everyone would be shocked and surprised and excited. Thats still happening. Besides, Skrillex, Four Tet and Fred again are being added to the schedule. But wait, thats not cool enough. Go try to make those decisions yourself and not ruffle any feathers and egos. Most people crumble under the pressure so dont act as if its the flick of a switch to move an artist around.

Have you taken PCP

Very intrigued to see who they got at supreme short notice

Its Fred, Skrillex and Four Tet

also theyre gonna do this which is amazing.

Sources close to the festival add that the trio will play in the round on the satellite stage of the main stage, which was originally built to serve as an ice skating rink during the Frank Ocean set, but wasn’t used during the performance. (This satellite stage will not have ice on it this Sunday.)

Wait so were Blink not confirmed then and it was just a rumour gone amok?

I’m sure that trio will go down very well with the current Coachella crowd, but it’s hardly a great replacement, even if it is this years hottest electronic show to see. The idea of Four Tet headlining Coachella is very funny to me though - bet he never saw that one coming in a million years.

edit: oh wait I’m a dummy - Blink are on before. Well then, can’t argue with that, they’ve done very well for replacements there. Weekend 1 people seething right now.

Frank Puddle’s music career is surely finished after this latest stunt, hard to see why anyone would book him or even buy a ticket to one of his gigs now. Awful way to treat your fans.

I don’t think he’s ever been particularly interested in the touring aspect of being a musician so I’m sure he’d be absolutely fine with not having to do much of it henceforth and just releasing music sporadically whenever he feels like (which people would 100% still lose their minds over). It’s incredibly infuriating that he treated such a prestiged and hyped over thing with such a ‘fuck it’ attitude, but I don’t think it’s really gonna hurt him in any way that will bother him in the long run.

Out of interest is there a Coachella forum equivalent to this forum on eFests for Glastonbury? I can only find weak as piss Reddit threads.

I mean theres shade and 2 tents have AC in them. Tomorrow is going to be worse. The lack of wind is the issue.

Sounds like  they are better set up for the heat than Glasto anyway. An AC tent would have been a godsend in recent years.

    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
