I've camped in Dairy each time I've been, I like it a lot. I love the first-timer enthusiasm you post on this board, Ben, it makes me even more excited remembering what it was like the first time I managed to do the impossible and get a ticket.

Thanks, LAWN! Your observation of my (unsustainable?) levels of excitement and enthusiasm are spot-on...however, they are only in part down to my being a GF newbie. The 4-5 days per year of my solitary, annual festival have become SO important to my general well-being and karma that I invariably develop festival-fever to the point that it becomes near all-consuming!

True though that the anticipation of my first glimpse of GF itself carries, perhaps, even more power than that of my first times at other, wonderful festivals like Latitude, EOTR and Green Man.

CAN. NOT. WAIT.

I did camp in Dairy the first time I went in 2008 and it is not a bad location not least because its very near the West Car Park so you don't have to trek too far. Have since moved on to South Park which is just round the corner. Tends to be very quiet with not too much through traffic as is a bit of a dead end so good if you want to sleep without too much noise. Did hear of a bit of burglarising going on in Dairy last year but I guess that could happen anywhere.Might try the new bit behind the Park this year for a change!

Well, I'm coming by coach, so in at Gate A. As such, I'm already aware of the trek to Dairy, but, for no reasons other than 'a feeling', it just feels like where I should be. I am a classic 'full participant' in festivals, so the noise issue is not a big deal for me. By the time I'm back at the tent at 5 or 6am, fatigue and earplugs will see me through 3-4 hours sleep, as I am up early-isn, desperate to maximise every possible moment. I can run on that for 4-5 nights reasonably well!

I'm going to need a decent reason not to head for Dairy...

I'm happy to help in the secret resales, if I am near my computer at the time, as I also have a change detector page set up. Can't guarantee anything though. I went for the coach package on Friday, but didn't get through myself. Luckily a friend got through for me on his ipad, which leads me to wonder how many got through on a standard laptop or computer. See lots of posts saying people have been more successful on ipads. May need to purchase one in time for next years sale.

P.S. was always successful before, but better servers and quicker connections seem to be making it a different ball game. Anyway, good luck everyone still needing tickets.

Mixed feelings for me today. One group i got tickets for, the 2nd sold out half way through my entering details. Fingers crossed for the secret resales

Siblin, your help got me the tickets last year in a secret sale in May...thank you again! Hope you get the extra tickets you need. I've failed again at re-sale but still hopeful! Only need one this year as it's just me and my daughter...mums staying at home with the youngest!

Good luck to everyone at secret sale time.

Don't worry about the walk from the coach stop to Dairy, it's pretty plain sailing. We did our first trip by coach last year and wont do it any other way now (National Express tho, cheaper and seemingly more reliable, not uptight about luggage), we didn't have to queue to get into the fest when we arrived at lunchtime, we were rested and fresh instead of haggard and hassled from a long drive through the night. There's walkways all around the site so you can make a beeline to Diary from the coach station, there's an a few inclines but nothing too taxing.

I wasn't about this morning, my other half was running the Manchester Marathon, but was trying to follow what was happening on here.

Well done to those who got through, commiserations to those who didn't. But a massive well done to all those who were trying to get tickets for others on here. That's the spirit of the festival.

Four years ago I did not get tickets for me and a mate who had never been before

I tried in the resales, in competitions etc. but no luck.

Finally found a charity that wanted people for the recycling crew and never looked back.

I now work for a decent charity and have a team of 24 going with me and can never see

another way I would go again. Every year now the festival are increasing the numbers of

workers.

Worth a thought for a few hours of work and the guarantee of tickets without the stress....

Hope to have 60 tickets in 2016

I've read other people say that and I just don't believe that's the case at all. The HTTP request sent by both laptop and iPad are exactly the same apart from the user agent. I managed to get tickets this morning in the resale on my laptop and it'll just be bad luck that you didn't get through.

I imagine you are right, good to hear you got in on the laptop. Guess my luck had to run out one day. Thank goodness for friends and efesters that help one another!

Hi, a couple of my friends have done this before too and said it's the best way! I'm guessing from the above 2015 is f'lup! How would I sign up for 2016...is Glastonbury 100% on next year?

Aye, sorted! Dragged my little brother out of bed and made him set there with a tablet, he was very relucatant. About 8 minutes past he grunts "It's changed" so I grabbed the bugger off him and started hammering in details. Still got the confirmation page up now even though emails have come through.

Great. The Swifties shall inherit the Earth!

I'm definitely up for helping people in the secret resales - I have follow that page set up and generally can get onto it pretty quick in work most of the time. Will need to be a proper trust job though, someone whose seen my posts on the last 10+ years as there probably won't be enough time to do bank details etc as its not a set time. If anyone wants help I'm willing to talk. Need to pay back the efestivals kindness karma after this morning!!

Hey there! How do you find out about them and where do you usually buy tickets for them? Gutted I missed out this morning, so I am hopeful to get some in the sales, so any help would be appreciated :)

I have follow that page set up too if anyone uses this? I've set checks to every 10 minutes so hopefully will catch something!

Does anyone know how long the See coaches from the O2 take? Want to try and figure out who form my group is likely to get there first.

As long as they don't decide to go through London you should look at 3 and a half to 4 hours, I've not got one before but Ive always got a NE Coach from my local bus station in Essex not to far from the O2 and thats how long it tends to take us.

That being said a friend of mine has used the See coach from The O2 and had quite a bit of hassle from them last time leaving late then catching traffic (that can't be help of course). Its better the getting the Coaches from Victoria tho.

I'm another one who has their fingers crossed for the secret resales. We had real trouble getting tickets this year after going to the previous five festivals. This morning we managed to get four out of five of us tickets leaving my brother without one. Really gutted. As a long time lurker I just want to thank all the guys on here for the advice and support.

No.

That's not possible and is an illusion caused by more morons and people who know nothing about computers buying ipads and apple products then putting their entirely random luck down to that new favourite shiny expensive toy that does magic.

All the browsers on all the platforms are pretty much equal these days, if there was an advantage I'd be using it but there just isn't it's all snake oil. With all sorts of tricks and fancy set ups our groups came through on the oldest pc and slowest connection just to mess up the figures

    • Yesterday was another brilliant day of music for me. Some highlights:  My Bloody Valentine - absolutely loved it! Maybe my main festival highlight. I felt submerged in the music with all the layers and distortion. It becomes hypnotic almost as it progresses. Not as loud as some thought it might be, but it didn’t need to be. The visuals added a lot too. During the noise part of You Made me Realise, I was basically in a trance staring at the visual tunnel or whatever it was on screen. Amazing experience. Little Simz - as she mentioned at the start, you’re guaranteed a good time with her. Great performance just like in 2022. Zero complaints. The little DJ section wasn't something I expected but was cool. Kneecap - I had a blast but at this point in the night I was at my most intoxicated let's say, so I don’t remember it as clearly as I'd have liked to!    The xx - The sound for this was perfectly balanced (at least where I was) and the band were great. Lots of talkers, but with the crowd size and being kind of far back, it's to be expected. Intro was one of my favourite moments this year. Big Thief - really good live performers. The lead singer has a lovely voice. This was a nice chill way to kick off the mordor gigs for me.
    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
    • Beartooth? Or are they a bit to shouty shouty
