I like Happy, Uptown Funk, Blurred Lines and Get Lucky. What do I win?

(though I'd be very surprised if I'm anywhere near the Pharrell set at Glasto).

Whilst I've witnessed enough of Pharrell's performances live and on telly to know better, I'm still tempted to go incase he can pull out a Coachella style parade of special guests. It confuses me how a man who has his name ingrained on so many fantastic records over nearly 20 years can produce such awful solo material. Both the albums he's released in his own name have been gash!!

thankfully yes - the couple of N.E.R.D. songs he does (Lapdance, Rockstar, She Wants To Move) are the definite highlights of his set, as well as most of the other covers he does actually. it's the solo stuff that's a bit shit

He does Frontin as well, which is probably my fave song of his.

Had two in basket but gone by time clicked to next page. All gone in 46 seconds. Might turn up on night

That's what my page said but I kept trying at got through to payment about 25mins past.

I don't know what the issue was, but there's no way they went in a minute. You couldn't save time by pre registering or inputting card details so even the most tech savvy would have taken longer than that to order.

Ugh don't - that, Happy and Uptown Funk are my three most hated songs and I'll be dragged to watch all three at Glastonbury! The girlfriend can pay for that in Frank Turner time, who she hates

They're all great songs. When pop is good its REALLY good.

What! I gave up doing that at about quarter past.

Fraid so. I did manage to get through to the page where you could choose the number of tickets. When I clicked proceed it brought up a page saying there weren't enough tickets available and then dumped me back on the previous page. Just kept going through the cycle until eventually I landed on the payment page.

  • 2 weeks later...

So just over three weeks until the Hyde Park gig... how do we reckon tickets are doing? Any chance of some last minute cheapo deals do we think?

If you're willing to tout on the day, and leave it until 30 mins or so before they come on .. I'd imagine you could pick one up for around £20. Maybe even less.

    • I agree the prices are tough for locals. You can see if Porto timetable is the type that works for you and it's a terrific city. Also cheaper. https://www.primaverasound.com/es/porto/lineup-porto
    • thanks XXialac! i guess for us the most important aspect will be a festival that starts very late in the day, specially in these southern countries were it can be really hot! The combination of visiting a new city, having good lunches and enjoying a festival is a absolute must for us. Also, we like headliners but the undercard is just as important; truly enjoyed Men I trust, NewDad, Big Thief this year so from that angle it is not really a big thing if a festival is somewhat smaller.    Apparently my bad, i had 5 in my system but 0.5 (10%) increase is still huge. I am not sure how teenagers can afford these prices............
    • That second part was how I felt about Rock IM Park this year trying first. I found that when it gets to like the 3rd act on the main stage down, you've gotta make a choice to miss anything leading up might not enjoy and it's sometimes while closer for not a great view as everyone in turn has to make the call too. Being short doesn't help as I'd just be able be further bacm but still see.
    • I wasn’t slagging Scooter off, they are undeniably silly. As I said, they are the definition of a meme booking for Download. People requested them for years because it was silly.
