NME (soz) put their '09 show 6th of recent headliners. Bowie/Stones is at least arguable. Muse and Beyonce, clearly, are not.

It's fair to say though, listen to Muse performing New Born there and then listen to the tragic music they are making now. It's fair to ask why?!

Good tracks Muse have released after the 2004 set:

Map of the Problematique

Take a Bow

Assassin

Knights of Cydonia

MK Ultra

United States of Eurasia

Animals

Psycho

I wasn't the one who negged you btw.

Seriously offtopic, but Psycho is legitimately one of the worst songs I've ever heard by anyone, let alone Muse.

Anything from those cheesy lyrics, awful samples, blatant stealing (Roadhouse Blues, Personal Jesus) and just as a song, it's awful.

You're literally one of the only people I've seen who enjoys Blur but isn't a fan of the new album.

The new album is phenomenal. I'd place it above Think Tank, but not above 13.

I dunno, I've listened to it a fair few times but I keep having to force myself to relisten in the hope that I will eventually get why everyone is banging on about it. Hasn't happened and I've given up on it for now. There's just been too much good stuff out this year, that forcing myself to listen to something seems pretty fatuous.

YES! Manics doing the Holy Bible in Cardiff Castle the day before too. Should be a nice double header!

Ugh don't - that, Happy and Uptown Funk are my three most hated songs and I'll be dragged to watch all three at Glastonbury! The girlfriend can pay for that in Frank Turner time, who she hates

i feel for you - if you hated Pharrell on record, just wait until you see him live. he's terrible

    • TOP 10 acts (top 5 in bold😞   Blood Orange (ciutat)   Guitarricadelafuente   Oklou - Looks like I'm capable of enjoying music in the rain after all, just not the whole night.   Rilo Kiley   The Cure   Jade   Depresión Sonora   Gelli Haha (Parc del Forum) - Her music never really clicked with me. Until I saw her live.   MARINA   Six Sex (ciutat) - I was shocked how supersmall the venue was and that almost everyone (except for me) knew every word of every song (including the ones that were released this weekend!).   Honorable mention:   Ashnikko - missed the first 15 minutes (because of Gelli Haha) and I'm not really a fan of her music, but the show was an absolute blast.
    • Totally agree about PinkPantheress stage choice. 'Luckily' for me, one of my main targets, fakemink, was absolutely awful, meaning that I left early and was in a surprisingly good spot at Cupra before it got totally packed.
    • As many said before, not my favourite Primavera. sh*tty weather is something I'm not really used to when enjoying music. Poor communication (more than 1 hour long radio silence during the worst rain) didn't help, but the main problem was me. I decided to leave the venue after things seemed to be getting back to normal. Massive Attack were supposed to play again (with Hymn of the Big Wheel back on the setlist!) as were all other artists on the smaller stages (including Fcukers with one my favourite albums of the year). FOMO was at an all-time high. However, after 4 hours in the rain, I had to admit to myself that I'm not cut out for this. I wasn't even that soaked (water-proof jacket worked). I was just fed up with the rain, wind and cold and wasn't able to enjoy music anymore.   Also, they should stop ignoring the growth of some artists between signing them up and their actual performance. Both PinkPantheress and Ninajirachi sets were ruined for me by completely inadequate stage choice.   However, I felt very much the same way after the 2022 edition and have thoroughly enjoyed all subsequent editions. So I'm still buying early bird tickets for 2027 and hoping this was a hiccup not the start of a downward trend.
    • I will definitely be buying a 2027 early bird pass, partially because of the priority reservation privileges for the Ciutat sets. Hopefully the organization will take action to improve upon this year's failings. Because I thought the free water options and sound quality were an improvement over last year, so clearly they can actually implement positive changes.   I also hope all the douchebag chompers get in the sea, cause I was more bothered by them than in the past few years.   Highlights: The Cure, Ninajirachi, Knocked Loose, Current 93, Blood Orange.
