Over at the Daily Mail headquarters they are currently sacrificing a vegan to the rain gods. No rain = no picture of two girls with an umbrella splashing in the deepest puddle on site.

They can always re-caption the canoe from 2005

Never been to Glasto, but every other festival I have been to has rained. I went camping in the south of France for a week. It rained.

Bit o' sunshine would be cracking to arrive to for sure, and I have to agree, rain Monday doesn't bother me. Free shower before the coach home.

I wear wellies when it's not raining. Keeps my legs warm when the temp drops.

This morning's GFS run is really poor. High pressure breaks down next weekend and Wed-Fri of the festival have rain :-(

On the plus side, the ensemble shows that the operational run has far more rain than any other model and the average of all runs is pretty much dry :-)

We won't get any proper idea until at least mid week and still all to play for.

Every day seems to be different ie

Wednesday reports - Dry

Thursday reports - Wet

Friday reports - Dry

Today's reports - Wet

You can't predict the weather this far out which is why most of the agencies don't have detailed runs yet. We just can't help torturing ourselves.

Today's Acuweather seems to be almost a mirror image of last year: very sunny on Wednesday, less so Thursday, heavy rain Friday, showers Saturday and sun again on Sunday. Just no storm this time. I wouldn't stick on that though - I'd take my chances.

    • Muse new album out soon , European tour announcement for Nov and Dec, no Spanish date and north American tour starts in July and in North America for all of July and August. So primavera and Glastonbury
    • Well he is on a rape charge, don't see that one as controversial.    Although Hakimi is in Morocco squad.
    • Electric Callboy just said they'll be touring here next year. I'm not sure there's a poster for it though. I'll look when I'm near some next.      He said we'll see you at Download at a gig before any of the band. Presumably he was trolling. They're in Austria at the moment and Germany tomorrow with a week's break and more shows in Germany. Whilst not impossible to come back here and then go over there again, it seems unlikely.
    • Thomas Partey, knocked back by Canadian immigration now.
    • I'm sure someone can update you on the clashfinder, and it will be pretty accurate by the time the festival comes around. It's a large flat-ish arena with main stage in the open air, no best side I'd say. Leadmill (3rd stage medium tent) is at the back of the main arena, T'Other (2nd stage big tent) 5 min walk round the corner. At full capacity walking around can take a bit more time though. I noticed that The Enemy are scheduled to not fully overlap with Wolf Alice, so you could catch part of their set too.   You can walk around anywhere with a beer, with most bars the usual mass market stuff, but one nice craft ale tent, back of the arena near the Leadmill stage. A main meal will set you back £10-15, but cheaper snacks also available. Expect a pint to be £7-8. Possibly a bit more this year as prices everywhere are increasing.   It's fairly easy to get to from the town centre using the tram, although can be busy at peak times / very busy at curfew. If you like a walk, it's approx 40 mins to Kelham Island (lots of indy venues) and probably an hour to the city, or catch an Uber. There will be loads of 'fringe' music events on around the city right through the weekend. Most are free. Have a wonderful trip, enjoy the festival, and your stay in our city!
