Just been watching the weather forecast on the BBC and its set to warm up by the end of this week so fingers crossed! :)

I also just watched this, I'm worried we may peak too soon...

Not sure what happened to Flaming June here in the south:( 50mph winds, heavy rain and the heating on- definitely not camping weather tonight!!

I'm also South.

Tomorrow all the R word apparently.

I work outside and it's ridiculously cold for this time of year. Especially at night.

It really needs to warm up.

However the bbc isn't exactly filling me with confidence right now...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2635167

"Monday 15 June—Sunday 28 June

An uncertain end to June

As we move into the latter part of June, confidence in the forecast tethers off. The array of forecasting tools and computer models offer a rather wide range of weather types. There is limited consensus that pressure will remain high, at least for a time, across northern areas of the UK that would suggest some further relatively dry and bright weather in the north. However, there is an increasing trend that low pressure systems will start to influence southwestern areas of the UK, which would tend to suggest the possibility of some unsettled spells of weather moving from the southwest from time to time."

Here's hoping. As long as it doesn't get mushed up in the SE corner/park/greenfields from all the rain during setup like 2011.

I'm starting to resign myself to the strong chance of it being a wet one.

So 3 days ago the weather forecasters were predicting a heatwave this week... Now they are not.

Worry about the weather in 3 weeks time.

100% this. Reading a collection of summaries about the end of June at the start of June, the only thing any reasonable person could conclude is that nobody has a bloody clue. Even last year, satellite imagery showed that the festival escaped one or two catastrophic downpours that were supposed to hit Pilton, just by nature of the way showers can hit or miss specific areas.

Going back a few pages I'd stick with 2014 I reckon. really don't remember it being that bad, and we had a muddy hike back to Darble every night. Thunderstorm was fun too. Or maybe I'm just getting tougher in my old age?

2010 was my favourite weather but I'd take 2013 after that of the years I've been. then 2009, 2008 and 2011 which for me was by far the hardest.

I came back to to my tent having collapsed under the weight of all the rain/wind at IOW 2011. Luckily it was the Sunday evening though, so we could make a sharp exit.

Kasabian were well worth staying for though on that fateful Sunday!

Kasabian are never worth staying for.

I do hope the weather is good though, got a couple of first timers this year and one of them is quite tempremental and the rain will tip him over the edge I worry.

Could not imagine worse weather for glasto than last night.

Hopefully we'll start heating up nice and ready for 3 weeks time :)

Last night reminded me of 1998, and it seamed to just rain and blow for the whole 4 days.

Water coming up through the blim holes in the ground sheet still makes me chuckle.

Agree, twas awful last night. The weather is ready to take a turn for the better shortly, I can feel it in my waters.

2011 was the year the weather affected my festival the most, so anything better than that would be fine imo.

Indeed, it was actually fairly dry for lot of it! (Apart from getting in and friday evening!) But it rained at crucial points and the dry periods, just seemed to make the mud even more sticky!!

I'll stick with 2010 thanks :P

Yeah, a year of heavy claggy mud. If the weather is dry in the run up the mud is thin, runny and slippy on top of a hard surface. If the weather is wet it turns to the claggy stuff that sticks to your boots and sucks at your feet as you walk making it more tiring.

    • The Great Fete Festival (Sunday Only) Ocean Colour Scene day on Tickets For Good.
    • I was also at Ghost but seated. When they scanned my ticket's and they came up as seated they printed a small ticket with the seat number info.
    • I was standing for Ghost at O2 London last year where they put the phone in a pouch beforehand so I assume they're is a mechanism in place for people in seats.
