Matt42
Bombay Bicycle Club? Christ. Are these predictions being dug up from a time capsule? They'l definitely be no lower than a sub on their next album
dentalplan
People said that last album!
kingcrawler
So Long, See You Tomorrow seemed to do well and had a lot of radio 1 backing but I think if Bombay Bicycle Club were to move up to headlining or were seen as future headliners they'd have subbed off that album last year. tyranicide
I still think you me at six will headline. Their arena tour (although with atl) has appeared to be nearly completely sold out with just a couple of hundred tickets Max at any of the dates. Paramore subbed twice before they moved up to headline, if ym@6 get an album out at the end of next year and don't play reading then I can see them headlining as early as 2017
Andre91
Bombay Bicycle Club won't headline. I don't see them getting any bigger.
abcdefg
No chance Fall Out Boy will. Why? They could sub at the moment and have a big enough back catalogue, all it would take would be another huge album
TheSilence
Its a shame too because I find BBC very good live. Them and Metronomy are particularly hypnotic. Would prefer either of them headlined over YMAS or BMTH. But yeah I agree BBC will never headline R&L
Gucci Piggy
Why? They could sub at the moment and have a big enough back catalogue, all it would take would be another huge album I just don't see them getting any bigger. They've been around ages, everyone knows what they are, the reunion didn't push them up lineups, and I don't think anything they release from now on will gain them any new fans. dentalplan
Their new songs sound like Black Eyed Peas or something so they could gain new fans but I don't see it being substantial to R+L. mrtourette
Why? They could sub at the moment and have a big enough back catalogue, all it would take would be another huge album Is that all? Nailed on then.
mrtourette
Nope. It's what the bassist said! Allegedly.

dentalplan
Allegedly. I don't think someone with as incredible and effective pick up lines as Couchy needs to lie on the internet.
giantwagon
Of those discussed on here, I reckon BMTH, Royal Blood, Foals & Kendrick Lamar are the only ones who could realistically headline in the future
justanothername
I just don't see them getting any bigger. They've been around ages, everyone knows what they are, the reunion didn't push them up lineups, and I don't think anything they release from now on will gain them any new fans. They're just replacing fans, not many of the old fans are impressed with the new FOB but still a lot them would probably see them at a festival but I don't think they're suitable to headline R&L now
TheSilence
That would certainly explain a number of things. I don't get it
conroy17
royal blood and foals will inevitably headline one day other than those two there's no one who can be guaranteed as a 'future headliner' I'd say Florence but she's arguably headline sized now

conroy17
yeah, why I said 'headliner sized' because they'd probably pull off a headliner slot now
Cammers
Main Linkin Park The Prodigy Foos NME Disclosure Bloc Party Royal Blood Would be decent imo.
Mezhyp1
Main Linkin Park The Prodigy Foos NME Disclosure Bloc Party Royal Blood Would be decent imo. Disclosure, Bloc Party and Royal Blood in 2016 will be far too big to headline the tent, and RB and Foos wouldn't ever clash
kaosmark2
Remember when The Pigeon Detectives were a guaranteed future headliner?
