Gucci Piggy
That's probably the reaction Howlett will be looking for. it's worked since Firestarter. i don't mind this tune as much as the others, the drums remind me of the stuff i listened to in the 90s. TDIME was ok too. wall of death, and the other one, not so much. But I don't mean it in a "Woah that's crazy" kind of way. It just sounds like they've taken an old Prodigy track, stood shouting "IBIZA" over it and got bloody Sleaford Mods to take a shit on a microphone. thewayiam
They are doing a Q and A session tonight so maybe they'll confirm what's look likely that they won't be at G I'm kind of hoping they say we don't know or similar to chuck it up in the air but that song is woeful! dentalplan
They're sub-Pendulum rubbish now recycling old ideas with a different thing to shout. I don't think a soundbite from the Sleaford Mods rapper has ruined them.
Alan_C
Wish I could see the setlist they will do. Got tickets for Newcastle but if this album is awful and the setlist is shit, I'd rather just sell them and put it towards going to Scotland or Hyde Park to see Blur. Wooderson
That sounds like a Chris Morris-style pisstake of a Prodigy track.

the wonderwhy
It's Sleaford Mods that make it better than the rest of the crap off this album.

Nah I think their input is pretty awful too but a lot of the comments (away from here) I've seen on it complained that some chav was talking over it more than the song itself being bad. It was a bit of a horrible mismatch anyway.
LEDZEP66
Been at work so couldn't hear it just read all your comments, thought you were all exaggerating, you weren't, it's worse thing I've heard in a long time
SmellyWellies
Oh no Ive never seen Prodigy, I would love to if only for their classics, however I feel that their old stuff would just be a small part of their set, with the rest of it being a big shambolic disappointment
st dan
I could have written and recorded that song in a single music lesson back in high school ... And I'd probably have done a better job. That's just a terrible record - not having it that anybody can actually enjoy that!!!
Space Shanty
I find it hard to believe Liam Howlett can walk away after making that and think 'good job'. Beggars belief that the man who wrote Jilted and FOTL can be responsible for that dross

It's lowest common denominator gash. Honestly they're a bit of a joke now. It's sad.
Bisque
Just watched an episode of Ibiza Weekender on ITV Player, even that was better than that Prodigy tune.
the wonderwhy
What the hell did you guys think of the last three songs then? Its better than the rest of the bollocks they've put out off this album. Definitely.
dentalplan
Just watched an episode of Ibiza Weekender on ITV Player, even that was better than that Prodigy tune. Vengaboys' Ibiza was better. What the hell did you guys think of the last three songs then? Its better than the rest of the bollocks they've put out off this album. Definitely. To my credit, I consistently thought the new songs were shit. I didn't bang on about it though because as soon as you've put any thought into their output then you've missed the point. It just is what it is now. Edited March 24, 2015 by dentalplan
Supernintendo Chalmers
I'm gonna go against the general grain on this thread and say I LOVE it. And it's not just some Prodigy fanboy blindness, I genuinely really like it. I would say though, they're making too many vocal-driven tracks these days. Where are the straight up instrumental bangers with the odd vocal sample, like Their Law, Spitfire and Break and Enter?
dentalplan
Has anyone listened to the album yet?
kingcrawler
Has anyone listened to the album yet? I listened to it earlier. It's not great but slightly better than I was expecting. The title track was the only song I really liked. The album seems to be getting fairly decent reviews though.
dentalplan
I guess the Topley-Bird treatment separates the wheat from the chaff a bit. Surprised about the reviews (the three I could find) considering the singles haven't seemed to go down brilliantly.
Livers
I love the Prodigy and what I've heard is quite good and dark. Though I think this Dnb band from Glastonbury who have headlined stages at The Farmfestival and The Godney Gathering have the jump on them with their new album https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=q4xCLuw8Kts
rivalschools.price
Loved the other stuff on the album, not so keen on this. Does anyone think that maybe we are listening to it out of context and they are taking the piss out of the Ibiza scene?
