I dunno how much I believe that though. I'd be kinda strange if she skipped festivals this year. She'd have a shot at decent slots at Glasto/Latitude/Electric Picnic etc.

it'd make sense if the new album was a more intimate affair, but from the sounds of the two new songs it's the exact opposite of that unlike her previous album. will have to wait and see if she pops up on any lineups - she wasn't on any of the American lineups so it may be true

She would but I think her shows on her last tour were very small scale intimate affairs, and she tries to get a real atmospheric thing going. Wouldn't work like that at a festival and I think she's in a position now to reject festivals and just do her own thing. Can't blame her much.

Kendrick hasn't even announced his album but I hope it comes, and comes soon..

it's apparently coming out in the first quarter (or at least first half) of the year so we shouldn't have too long to wait for it. ridiculously excited for it. gonna be hard going in to it without ridiculously high expectations

Fairplay he's taking his time with it... i was was a good track but I think I need to hear something a bit more hip hop!

it's pretty different but i really like it! i imagine she'll be at the festival this year but where would she play these days? Park headliner?

I am really looking forward to this, really hope she headlines the Park as i've not seen a headline there before in 5 years. I am gutted as i missed an email to get a ticket for her up coming gigs, a taster to an expected tour, she's only doing one night in London, really hope she turns up, it must happen surely this year.

Glad the new St. Vincent song is just a 'Deluxe Edition reissue' track and not a precursor to new material. Lord it's shit.

just given this a listen. i wouldn't say it's shit... but it's definitely b-side material at best. doesn't bode well for the rest of the new songs if this is the one she chose to release first

Yeah, the new St Vincent track is clearly just an unfinished album outtake they've done a proper studio version of to try and get people who already have it to buy the deluxe edition. Hopefully it sells her a few CDs and makes her some money, but if it stays out of live sets we'll all be happy.

^^^ really enjoyed that, although feels strangely familiar

Not heard that one, but I felt the same about Under the Shadows (XFM seem to play it alot! but I can't think of what it actually reminds me of!).

Listened to the Mark Ronson album yesterday, its okish, couple of decent songs but I bored with after Uptown Funk until the last one with Stevie Wonder. Did love the Mystikal track on it though!

On first listen sounding much more like it than Strange Friend, which I was a bit disappointed with.

Hope they get a spot at G.

I have to say talking of albums that have been released already from listening to a couple of tracks Σnter Shikari Mindsweep s produced very very well and a lot better than their other albums and the songs and ideas are very very exciting. Would love to see them for my 8th time if possible as soon as possible after listening to this new release.
