If Prince played I honestly think he'd deliver a set talked about years after in terms of Radiohead, Pulp, Blur etc.

Fantastic live act and musician. You can dislike the mans music by all means but I think them two statements are indesputable.

Im not a big U2 fan, but that album is fantastic for the casual U2 fan.

I've also missed Pretty Hate Machine, Rio, Viva Hate, Scary Monsters, Brotherhood. Computer World, Actually

it's fair enough 5to go back in time, but almost all of the 80s should be skipped over at high speed. It was a dreadful decade for music - which is why there's so few 'classic' 80s acts.

Depeche Mode, New Order, The Smiths, Echo And The Bunnymen. Some of Britain's greatest and most influential bands.

I can't really comment on the last 10-15 years as I have been totally immersed in the old skool dance music scene. But I have got back into pop/rock/indie over the last couple of years and I would say present day is worse than the 80's.
