Well on the bright side, at least we finally got NGHFB up a a R again, it was about time.

And the bright side to that is what, exactly?!

I'm presuming your post is cheeky irony? ;)

His turgid solo output is the worst type of beige irrelevance...

...oh, perfect for a Pyramid sub then, actually!

Apologies, all. As you were.

Ben

I quite like The Who

Yeah, not what I wanted (Blur) but I'll take them over most of the other rumours that were going round. I doubt many of the people disappointed with this would swap them out for The Libertines,

Aye. At least we avoided The Libertines and Stone Roses, small mercies.

Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck!!!

If this turns out to be true this would be an absolute catastrofuck.

The Fucking Who???? Paul Fucking Weller????

What the fuck is it coming to when tired old c**ts who have done nothing but tour the same dull shit for decades like this get booked?

Sad times.

is 'quite like' as good as it gets for The Who?

anybody love them? or at least really, really like them a lot?

I really like the Who and wanted to get tickets to see them in Cardiff on this tour but the only ones that were left were VIP ones starting at £300 each

I don't like the that much.

Im pleased we know now, or at least seem to, tbc is good enough for me regardless of coldplay.

Anyway, I'm pleased its someone im not interested in, wanted to make sure i could see the whole of belle and sebastian on park and then wander over to something else to end the evening.

Kinda disappointing though cos i imagine a lot of my friends would go just because its the who. Think a lot of people will be there for that very reason, and the performance will just fall a bit flat as a result, they don't have the plethora of hits that prince, stones, macca etc. have to wow a crowd where a lot of them are just there for the novelty factor.

We haven't reached 2000 pages, what does this mean!?

That it's far from pegged down yet.

We can still pray they're having a massive jolly with us - for starters how does this tally with keeping the name secret until the 1st June? What other show/commitment was it protecting?

I'd disagree there, The Who have many more recognisable hits than Prince. More for me than The Stones too, but that may be down to my preference. Macca is in a different tier altogether, but you can't say that The Who don't have the hits.

Shit. The final headliner! The thread is over. I won't make it on the outside world.

there's a bright side.

we can get going on next year's thread and nobody can be ruled out, regardless of what else they have going on. it'll be a free for all. it'll be crazy. up means down. left means right. a gig in Paris means fuck all. have we totally ruled out AC/DC? no, of course not!

can't wait.

Surely we'll be hearing something official today? Cancelling Paris is bad enough, but they can't leave those with tickets in the dark now this is out in the open if it's true.

It's alright, we can still get the real important issue to 2k

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
    • In a 6,800-word Substack essay, external, the Clacton MP said "anti-white racism was embedded into the state", and that legislation aimed at equality was a form of "social cleansing"   .https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdjkd4mp93zo   The privileged white c**t hasn’t got a clue what racism is.

[1, 2, 3] TV Broadcasts (BBC Two & BBC Three): The channels will air dedicated compilation shows. Leading up to the weekend, you can watch archive programming such as Glastonbury: 70s Legends, 80s Legends, and 90s Legends on BBC Two. [1] Radio & BBC Sounds: Pop-up Glastonbury radio stations on BBC Sounds will feature non-stop coverage, including exclusive mixes and huge sets from past years
    • Got HBO Max to watch football so watched One Battle After Another which is a great film and deserves its awards and then rewatched Magnolia and that is a flipping amazing film...so much in it. (also rewatching Angels In America series which is also amazing).
