He managed to keep The Next Day a secret until it was announced, when everybody thought he'd never record again. Doesn't seem too far fetched that he might want a final show to round off his career. Plus there were rumours of a second new album a few weeks back which might prove to be the perfect way to promote it? It won't have the surprise factor of TND going for it after all.

There's a difference between some relaxed noodling in a studio that grows into an album and playing a headline slot at the world's biggest festival after a ten year absence from performing.

Don't get me wrong, I would love it if it happened but I'm shooting it down as I refuse to even get my hopes up even a little over it. It's just not realistic.

If it happens I will also provide a cake.

Oh yeah, I completely agree there's a huge difference, but my point was that if it is genuinely a huge act then there could well have been leaks by associated people by now. The fact we know his team are so good at keeping secrets just gives me that little bit of hope.

Personally I'd love Prince or Bowie, or just about anyone else as well. However now I have two offers of cake, I'm well and truly rooting for the Thin White Duke.
