Always good to see the Glastonbury vibe alive and well in these threads. If you wouldn't look someone in the eye at the festival and make some of the same silly statements and give the same rude responses then why do it here? Anonimity is used like a weapon, surely us Glastonbury lovers are way above all that?

Peace and Love everyone!

PS My money is on the purple one.

all I said was I think pop music is shit....fuck me Ive got an opinion about music on a forum about music! sue me! haha I dont actually give a shit how `liked` I am by random people on an internet forum....(many people here btw I have no problem with) look......if some idiot like yourself wants to make a post attacking me simply for expressing an opinion then yes you will get told to `bore off` as thats pathetic.........answer me this? if I told you in real life I thought pop music was shit.....would you get onto me like you are on here? would you start ranting at my face about how I really should be at download etc? no? well then.....keyboard warrior to the core! :P so yes bore off! bore off indeed! thats the last attention I pay any of you trolls im here to talk about the glasto headliners same as everybody else. so for the sake of everybody else using this forum if anyone else has got any silly insults to aim my way please feel free to pm me so we can actually stop taking this thread off topic and annoying the normal people not ranting and raving at me on a tuesday morning!

If we met in real life I'd probably ask what you didn't like about it and we'd have a sensible discussion. The problem is that your tone not just in this thread, but in others has, just been utterly negative and aggressive so is it any wonder people respond in kind?

However I will make a concession, it wasn't you moaning about the Kardashians, it was someone else so I do apologise for that.

You don't get people at the Festival loudly and swearily complaining and making uniformed coments about acts and entire genres though either.

Agreed, there is plenty of 'opinion' on here that just wouldn't stand up in a real face to face discussion. That's why these pages make for an entertaining if slightly surreal read. Lots of the posters on here are probably quite reserved in real life!

I'm really hoping for O(+>, he was stunning in Birmingham last year, but.... If he does headline, I'm sure he would not want the BBC broadcasting his set, you know what he's like. Dylan in '98 had a similar caveat, to the point they turned off the jumbotron for his set. Given the BBC's deal with Glasto, could this cause issues with booking the skinny MF with a high voice?

+1 for the bob george quote :) I don't think there'd be any problem with broadcasting the set myself, he's not RATM with their fierce anti-capitalist stand against public service broadcasters putting their shows on air for free.

As for the current running argument. 2 points to make 1. Nal is right, Nal is always right. 2. Sentences, please use them.

I have a vital question to ask that is slightly off topic but equally extremely relevant to this thread and could well enable me to avoid spending any time in A&E due to self inflicted head injuries.

So I ask you all, knowing full well the answer is probably obvious, how in the blue hell do you block people?

Because he's a mid-weak booking for the legend slot as it is. Paul Simon, Dolly Parton - those are names you could imagine being bumped up. Not Lionel bloody Richie.

This is a point. When did the Sunday 'legend' become the 'slightly cheesy enjoyed kind of ironically' act rather than a bona fide legend?

On the full version, your username top right, select 'Manage Ignore Preferences', enter names of users you'd like to block.

Makes these pages much more pleasant. Although doesn't block people quoting your blocked users, unfortunately.

    • Judging by last night at Wembley, Luke Combs should be in the conversation of headliner. The UK is having a moment with country music so I don't think it would be particularly left field either.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
