that hives set was awesome......GET ME A LADDER IM SERIOUS GUYS!....funny as, and no mean feat to have the entire crowd in the palm of your hand at that time of day so much so you have them sitting down and jumping up on cue......that dude knows how to be a frontman!

a glasto top ten for me. Always loved the band and that was the first time seeing them. :)

Did anyone listen to 6 music this morning? Keavney mentioned that he did an interview on Friday which he can't talk about, but which will be aired in a week or so...

If it's a 6 music interview it would almost certainly rule out Madonna and Swift .. Whilst making the little purple man, the Roses and maybe even Radiohead more possible?

I haven't said it in a while soooo....

Swift won't headline Sunday.

Madge doing the same sort of publicity as kanye (Brits/Ross) so I guess that puts her in mix although her and Kanye as two of 3 headliners doesn't seem right to me.

Still fancy the Roses or Prince.

Its only been 18 months - 2 years since the Roses played anywhere. That is extremely active compared to their history. If they can suddenly announce gigs after a break of nearly 20 years, then a 2 year break is no time at all.

Part of me wouldn't be surprised if The Stones Roses were announced Thursday morning for Glastonbury along with a new album. It'd be the kind of thing to take a little edge off of IOW's announcement. They did similar with Lionel just before FM were announced.

Yeah i listened, was thinking it could be glasto to. But nothing to suggest it is other than the fact that it's not being aired for a bit, reckon if it's anything to do with glasto it'll be aired after the line-ups released - he sounded properly excited about it... so im taking it as license to discuss Bowie, Radiohead etc.

Joy Division reforming, mmm

Are New Order splitting up then? The whole NO/JD/Peter Hook situation is rather strange.

Hooky is a bit of a dick but fair play to him doing the entire collection of JD tunes in one night, all for charity.

I am counting the days till NO release their new stuff though and get back on the road.

I would like to end my festival with a reformed Pulp. Admittedly probably not on the Pyramid. Much rather that than the Stone Roses.

Me too from a purely selfish level though. And r6 have been playing Ian unusually high number of pulp tracks recently Edited by Chazeboy

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
