Admittedly the dates from Macca make him more likely than yesterday but it's still hugely remote. Maybe he's keen now his bezzie Grohl is playing.

Yeah thats a shout. Special guests always rumoured for the Foos show!

Regarding Macca, I'd love to see him in a smaller venue playing mainly new stuff. And "New" stuff.

Same when I saw him last in Dublin. Unbelievable setlist. And actually a better gig than Glasto.

Macca would be one of the worst potential headliners for me. His voice seems to have deteriorated massively in recent years. Can't see it being a memorable performance .. Regardless of the obvious hits and legendary status he would bring.

I'd actually rather it be somebody like Florence or Swift.

Is there a Macca presale on his homepage? There was on his last UK tour, but my browser here won't let me near the place.

"presale coming soon".

I hope he doesn't play. I don't want the memory on 04 of walking from The Rutles down to the Pyramid spoiled.

And it'll be the same (ish) setlist anyway. Not sure if I could hack another "ok just the fellas" sing-a-long for Hey Jude.

Hmmmmm.

Macca's vocals are a dealbreaker yet Florence gets a pass.

See an ENT specialists urgently.

Another vote for Florence from The Nal so.

I wouldn't go and see Florence either ..she's not my cup of tea.

But she's at least relevant and deserves a shot at headlining in my opinion.

I'd save Macca until his farewell tour which I assume won't be too far away. At least it would give some meaning behind the booking.

Agree with this yeah. Needs something fresh attached to it. Either a load of new material or a farewell or something. As opposed to him just "playing the old hits" again.

Have we ruled out Bruno Mars? He's not rumoured, he's certainly big enough, and he's not rock.

Also wasn't he rumoured for V, which clearly he's not doing now?

Good Grief! We don't need to make this thread any worse, its bad enough

he's a 3rd last on the Pyramid act. Lily Allen level.

Nah. As mentioned, was being discussed as a potential co-headliner for V and headlined Wireless last year. He sells out arenas in a flash, Lily Allen plays academies. Edited by Zac Quinn

Let him stay at V or Wireless then.

Christ you'll be touting for Iggy Azealea next.

    • My wife works for a music company, they have an allocation already.  They run a ballot for it early next year.
    • This is my guess too.    2028 festival breaks the £400 barrier.
    • Yeah I did spot that AXS had more available for the O2 shows Muse are doing, though I think that comes with the territory of AXS now being the venue's primary ticket selling platform.    My instinct remains they'll probably still play to a big crowd on the night - sales were similarly slow in 2023 but videos of those gigs showed the venue looking pretty much full. Equally it probably would be sold out if the pricing was even just slightly less ridiculous. Shave up to £50 off some of these categories and I think that would've got people to go with it.
    • Some are definitely already there with that and with another round of inflation looking like it's on the way, it certainly locks that in. And I say that as someone who also isn't willing to break the £100 marker.
