When do we think we will get an actual announcement then?

If they have the headliners sorted as I believe (correct me if I'm wrong), why would they wait until April like Emily has said? IIRC it's been the end of March the past two years, and it's usually before the re-sale date right?

Just got a really nasty fright.

Saw 'Emily Eavis ends the headliner speculation'...checked the date...it says 'published March 5'. That's today.

Clicked on the link (http://www.efestivals.co.uk/news/14/140305a.shtml)

It says no Prince this year.

Stomach clenches. Heart stops.

Check the date again. It's March 5. Check the date on my computer. Yup, it's today.

Then I notice the year: 2014.

Phew.

because Glastonbury pays less and is already sold out, and the acts which Glastonbury has as headliners might have other shows to sell.

Essentially, Glasto agrees to not announce the bands they have until April. Anything announced before then is driven by the band and not Glasto.

Shaun Keaveny on 6 music has made a comment this morning about Depeche Mode and one of the programmes favourite people getting together to do something musically but he can't say more because it is embargoed. A straw to clutch for some maybe.

the title of one of the shows favorite people has to go to Brian Cox, maybe he's picking his keyboard and doing a space album like PSB

Even if they confirmed ones which have pretty much self confirmed it would be nice..James bay, fatboy, Ben Howard etc just give us something!

i don't take anything personally

i fully admit that i bought a ticket on the speculative basis that AC/DC would be there, based on Eavis' comments

That looks extremely unlikely but i still look in several times a day for gossip that would be good compensation for no AC/DC

All my music taste is in a period from 1960 to early 1990's, that is probably not great for Glasto, only modern stuff i like are The Struts, Royal Blood, Olly Murs (yes he is a guilty secret of mine) and Lady Gaga

Good acts from the period i mentioned turn up i would love to go, but 120 hrs of Taylor Swift, Muse, Mumford and Sons, Ed Sheeran, Libertines, Calvin Harris etc i would rather be waterboarded than see the likes of them
