are we pretty much dismissing any of Eavis' previous 'clues' ('he's British; they're not', 'they've been around for a long time', etc) and assuming he was talking about AC/DC or Fleetwood Mac which haven't panned out?

Flo, Foos and Taylor Swift just doesn't seem right to me - two acts there that a lot of people would (and have) question as being capable of headlining. i'm not saying they need an AC/DC or Prince, but it's definitely missing that Glastonbury magic and seems a bit risky

who's to say they didn't think they'd bagged AC/DC at one point? They might of tried for them and it didn't work out?

Arcade Fire, Metallica and Kasabian are much more controversial than the biggest touring band right now, the biggest pop act right now and a step up.

The Fall have been announced for 6 Music Festival. Probable Other Stage headliner?

People on here have said they are not allowed to play Glastonbury any more. They are not big enough to headline really.

3 proven headliners vs 1?

3 proven headliners vs 1?

exactly. i'm all for Swift headlining, but a lot of people definitely wouldn't be. likewise with Flo. seems like a bit of a risk having them both headline in the same year (totally seems like i'm saying 'only one female headliner!!!' but i'm not - just that they're both currently unproven festival headliners)

i don't think that if (and it's still a big if) Swift plays, that she'll headline.

sub before a big act like Elton John?

Well Eavis also said that Taylor Swift would be good in 'the Dolly slot' or something didn't he? I assume that's been thrown out too if people are already sold on her headlining.

What the deal with The Fall not being able to play? The 6music festival line up has shaped up nicely but not really any surprising names

I think Mark E. Smith said Michael Eavis had an upside-down head, or was that the bloke from The Levellers?

Either way, they're way overdue a return!

    • No dramas man, I just like to follow others journeys as well. Get the inspiration, give out inspiration and the outdoors is the clear the head place to do it. I'm heading out for a easy trail run today I think, 10k- 10 mile we'll see how we go. I've got a half marathon in October I'm well unprepared for hahs
    • The Cheap Thrills at Mountford Hall, Liverpool.    They've been around for a while and have built up a large local following. Last night was their biggest yet, at a sold out 2,200 capacity venue.    It was a big old joyous, indie singalong from start to finish, the band clearly having the time of their lives. The debut album is out next month and they seem to be going down well on the festival circuit, maybe their time has finally come.   2 supports, I unfortunately missed Credits but the few songs they have on Spotify sound good, Americana vibes. The other was M60, reportedly Gary Neville's favourite band. If that's true, he's as clueless about music as he is football. To be fair, their sound was poor, maybe with a clearer sound they'd have been better but it was pretty dull.
    • I can see them all merging along with the Tory’s . Restore curently couldn’t muster enough candidates to be a viable option . I lasted 4 mins and couldn’t watch any more . Lowe is just dull along with racist
