According to this guy the libertines are doing T in The Park and Reading and a handful of european festivals, none glastonbury.

He's specified which days they are playing as well so... Could be reliable info

Anyone think pulp have a chance?

At the end of the day, the band (or at least, Jarvis) seem to be really happy with how they ended it - massive hometown show followed by (literally) sailing off into the sunset.

I think if there's anything that could tempt them back out of retirement then it'd be a Glastonbury headline slot, but still seems unlikely.

and yet it doesn't say anything like that.

Perhaps that's what is meant, but it doesn't say that at all.

I hope the Libs aren't at glasto, they were absolute shite at Beni last year. If they are there he should have them headlining the other stage.

So who does fit the "he's english but they arent english" ???

Anyone think the phonics might play?

Fleetwood Mac or AC/DC and Eavis was getting ahead of himself and whichever it was ultimately decided to just do a UK gig(s) that weekend for more money.

Nme awards was the 26th where Eavis was picking up an award.

"Blondie also announced their scheduled Glastonbury appearance at last night's NME Awards with Austin, Texas while both Dolly Parton and organiser Emily Eavis have confirmed that the 'Jolene' singer will appear at Worthy Farm this year. "

It was Blonde / Debbie Harry that slipped up and told people that the band had been booked that night.

Emily confirmed Disclosure were playing that night

Dolly's Twitter account announced her tour was stooping off at Glasto. Later confirmed by Emily.

    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
    • Maybe some right wing leaders like Meloni are just playing to their base, like Reform have been here talking about them ending up at Calais.
