Maybe this old forecast will stick from. BBC... Monday 23 JuneSunday 29 June

First week of Wimbledon

As we go further into the forecast it doesn't look like the high pressure is set to go anywhere which bodes well for the start of Wimbledon. It should stay mostly dry but there will often be large amounts of cloud mixed with some sunnier spells. It should feel pleasantly warm in the sunshine, with the best of the cloud breaks over western fringes of the UK, though temperatures should quite widely be around or slightly above average for everyone.

Still hope!

Good lord. Do i have to suffer the platitude trotted out evey 5 or so comments that we will have a good time no matter what. Erm yeah of course we will. But i'd have a lot better time if i wasn't soaked and covered in umshka with the wind and rain lashing my face with nowhere to sit down for hours on ends, trying not to bring the piss soaked mud in to my tent and praying that the outer skin can hold up for 5 days.

Just saying maybe you should bend your positive energy to the sun god.

http://www.westernmorningnews.co.uk/Glastonbury-Festival-turn-mud-bath-forecasters/story-21275670-detail/story.html

In the same article:

"Glastonbury Festival 'could turn into a mud bath' forecasters warn"

"Forecasters stressed that they will not be certain of the outlook until later on this week"

"There’s no suggestion of there being any sort of heavy rain at the moment"

"it doesn’t look like it’s going to be persistent"

Please note, at no point did any forecaster mention the words 'mud bath'.

I love the closing remark, as well:

"More accurate predictions are expected as Glastonbury gets under way."

Well no shit. I always find reports of weather that's happening right at the same moment in time pretty accurate.

Lets hope this is true, it rained on Thursday last year as well and it turned out fine. It's still a bit depressing though after the lovely weather in the lead up to this year, but we've waited since October for this so i am not going to let the weather spoil it for me....... at least i am going to try! :(
