Always been a firm believer in no point worrying about something that's out with your control but the panic merchants in this thread have got me twitching nervously :D

haha admit it - this has been waaaaaaaaay more exciting than the world cup

I don't really understand most of the technical terms used here though and I'm just going off the general vibe off people's posts, is it really going to bad as you's are making out?

Some of they websites with the forecasts have the temperature up at 20 degrees with a bit of rain, thats BBQ weather up here in Scotland :D

It's a massive blessing that i was brought up oop norf when it comes to soft southern weather  yea compared to scotland style bad weather it's balmy

The 1pm Countryfile is a repeat of last week

7:25 pm for this weeks

The forecast should be pretty good at least!

What sort of mind games is the BBC playing with that scheduling?! However you are right- it allows us to gage their accuracy, and considering it was a simple case of "sunny everywhere all week", I will be impressed if they messed it up!

Ever since I forgot to bring my Hunters back down to London from my parents' house last week, this song has been on a loop in my head.

Good, you can buy some proper wellies and realise talking using brand names is kinda silly

i'm going to walk away from my toshiba and my dell to use my delonghi

Your forgetting that dry ground leads to increased surface run off which during prolonged periods of heavy rain can be a disaster with pools of water forming in natural dips and depressions in the terrain.

We are on a site which has invested hundreds of thousands of pounds into drainage though

So you avoid those areas, surely? I'd rather have sparse big puddles than mud everywhere.

Damn them - it's changed again. LOL

But in a good way!

I now have even less hair than earlier.

Haha, I said I'd leave it till Tuesday because of the inconsistency but the temptation is just too much.

I won't count any chickens until Jackone's forecast tonight to be honest, does look as if its improved overnight though - generally. I'm sure there will be 5000 twists and turns between now and tomorrow though :)

2004 wasn't that bad. to be fair, it was wet at times but once you experienced 2007 it was nothing. I remember watching McCartney on the Saturday night and it wasn't wet and don't recall it being too bad on the friday as I ambled away from a dire Oasis set. Certainly spent time lying on the grass at the stone circle. It may not have been that warm but it was ok

I would take 2004 weather right now

So would I. The weather is getting worse with every forecast. Were getting closer to 07 now. Low pressure and "showers". Not "the odd shower".

Also the mud was shite in 04. Feet stuck in it at times. That glue mud. It rained during Maccas set by the way.

And Sunday was cold and muddy.

Also don't get hung up on forecasts that are specific to the Pilton area, look at the broader regional forecasts. I live an hour away from the Festival and the forecasts here are different, they are showing no rain at the weekend at all.

Think they'll let us have the festival at your house?

Jackones forecast if I remember didn't predict the downpour we had last year. Sure he said sun sun sun as I facebooked it to my friends who were going. So it then suprised me when it happened

Jackone did predict the front that caused Thursdays rain on the Saturday before the festival last year but the amount of rainfall was higher than predicted.
