Thursday isn't looking great: http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2648559

That said it's not that reliable this far in advance (at least that's what I'm telling myself).

I really didn't want to have to buy wellies (have DMs but they are white so asking to be ruined) but I think it might be worth the bother afterall.

White DMs that aren't scuffed *are* ruined. Take them down to the festival, that'll sort them out. I can't think of anything better for 5 days in mild mud than a broken in pair of docs!

I'm seeing improvement from this morning even.. I will hold fire though until this evening on my positive forecast (after countryfiles effort)

I didn't think it'd come down to nailbiter but it looks like it will!

Both ECM and GFS seem to have flattened out the synoptics a bit, sure you're seeing the same. It did seem an overly dramatic turnaround when it first showed up - we're like the reverse of the snow chasers in winter watching it fade away but happy about it

Get yourself down to Oswald Bailey, they have some really sturdy Dunlops for £12.99.

Yep its that time unfortunately.

Start thinking about good rain gear. We're all going to need it. Festie is falling exactly at the time high pressure turns to low pressure. An absolute disaster.

Jackone can predict all he wants but we all know this pressure change means periods of unpredictable showers but guaranteed extended rain all week.

There isn't a single word in that sentence I understand!
