I often wonder how much Kanye is in on the joke.

When asked what his inspiration for Yeezus was he said a lamp designed by Le Corbusier, which I think is fucking hilarious.

I'd like to think that was a reference to 'writing about music is like dancing about architecture', but maybe he genuinely extrapolated a whole album from a lamp.

Personally, I think he's a cracking producer and a very decent rapper. His quality control hasn't dipped throughout his career unlike a lot of his peers.

He's an absolute helmet, but he's far from unique with that trait in the music industry. It does tend to infringe on his live performances which spoils his shows for me.

I'd agree. The man is quite clearly an egotistical asshole, but his music has always been top notch. Definitely the most innovative and original rapper out there

I would love to see him live, but if it's just a 2 hour ego trip then maybe not. Didn't his last tour start with him walking down a giant mountain and have Jesus lookalikes joining him on stage? Ridiculous

I couldn't give two hoots how good is music is/isnt, whether he's the most innovative and original rapper out there at the moment or not, you wouldn't catch me anywhere near the pyramid if he headlined just for the simple fact of him being a complete monumental & universal twat. If he wasn't such a complete monumental & universal twat I'd probably think about it, but he is, and can't imagine that'll change anytime soon. I sincerely hope he doesn't headline.

So we've concluded that either:

1) His rants and general comments are evidence of him being a massive bell; or

2) His rants and general comments are tongue in cheek and part of the building of his 'persona'.

Personally I'd argue that, if (2) is true, then he's a massive bell.

Which, I think, leads us to one very clear conclusion. And it is helmet shaped.

Kanye's defiantly in on the joke, but to what level, we'll probably never know. Yes he's easy to anger, but I think he's misquoted a lot. The time he said performing was as dangerous as being a solider and everybody lost their shit: There's got to be a lot of Kanye weirdos out there, and probably even more Kim K. stalkers who want him out of their way so they can have her... Well they're just in luck, as you can find out what cities he's in whenever you want. It's on his website. With the building he'll be in from 8 - 12PM!

People have been caught with guns at Kanye shows before.

      Likelihood is it'll be on Sunrise and Alcove but theres potential for some more in the tent as there have been 8 acts on some days in recent years. Obelisk is likely full now unless they have a few shorter sets thrown in   Im surprised they haven't had some secret sets thrown into the mix this time round unless they do and we find some gaps in the schedule is released

      Saturday notes:   MARINA - absolute highlight, a proper diva, I'm so glad I skipped the headliners for her. Also, the crowd was beautiful, no yapping, no pushing, just enjoying the music together. Primavera crowd at its best.   Ninajirachi - One would say that at the end of the last day of the festival, they must have told each other everything, right? Not really. There was still SO MUCH MORE to say. Primavera crowd at its worst. It was completely packed and someone was constantly pushing themselves through the crowd. It was quite difficult to enjoy the set, even though I love her music.   Olivia Rodrigo - The teasing, the speculations, finally the confirmation and the first reactions of people! When I was showing the "tweet" to my partner, there was a young girl standing behind us who asked me very politely if she could see it and if it is really happening here tonight and after she finally processed it, she had the cutest "Holy. sh*t." reaction. Few minutes later, when refilling the water, I almost lost it when another girl beside me started screaming "Oh my god! Oh my god! No way! Oh my god!", staring into her phone. And then also Robert Smith came. I must admit I'm not familiar with Olivia's songs (but I'm planning to change it) and can't really say I loved the set itself, but I absolutely loved the whole Olivia Rodrigo experience.
