I love them too, great band. really digging the new album too, took a few goes, but its got me now. It was Shangri-la who announced them on lamebook and twitter. So they'll be in there somewhere, which will be quality. See you there. On a side note, a little bit of me has hope for Less Than Jake - they are touring, but not till August, but am sure if they were asked, they'd be over here....as I say only a little bit of me has hope, the chances are slim!

The idea of seeing them in Shagri La in the late hours excites me a lot! Thats the beauty of them, perfect in the sunshine with the beers flowing but equally as good in the small hours to get everyone dancing. Less Than Jake would be an incrediable booking! One of the funnest live bands ive ever seen. Would possibly be simililar to when 'Rocket from the crypt' played years back. Its certainly been a while since a decent ska band played one of the main stages. (The Specials and Madness in 2009?)

Maccabees just said they will be at Glasto on the Saturday on radio 1.

I don't wanna sound pedantic but did they mean in performing context or that they would be on site to see Kanye on the Saturday?

But if Maccabees are playing Saturday, and we already know all three JP headliners are on the poster, that doesn't work. Also, Sparks' website said they were Sunday.

I'm glad the Maccabees are on Saturday this potentially frees up some clashes. As it stands it's SFA - Maccabees ( if headlining) and the Who ( Friday - Sat - Sun), but this might well change, we all no nothing until IT comes out !

I am going bat crazy with impatience !

its not likely to be all in total order of days. Infact it isn't from the info we have already on Chems ( Sunday) ahead of Rudimental (Friday)

They could just be in the wrong order, although I think a Suede, Maccabees, FFS trio was ruled out in that facebook competition a few weeks ago to guess the 3 JP headliners. Suede clashing with Super Furry Animals wouldn't make much sense either so I think Suede will headline JP on Saturday with The Maccabes playing the other stage.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
