It wasn't on Just Be's page...he said it on his personal profile long time ago...I can't seem to find the post, but he said something like being very excited to be booked for Glastonbury 2015, after many years not being down at the farm...

Yeah! Seems like every smallish but great band is likely to be there - there's obviously gonna be a few that Glasto will miss but i'm sure we're gonna get a cracking undercard as usual.

I'd say all that this year is missing - is self confirmations from massive acts.

Last year we had bands like the Black Keys, Lily Allen, Lana Del Rey, Skrillex etc self confirming on their own terms - Don't think anyone to that caliber has self-confirmed for this year yet. Don't think we have any self confirmations from bands likely to headline stages / take massive slots yet...

They played West Holts last year, but only managed 10 mins before the storm. They're rumoured for West Holts again, which I think is a good place for them.

Really? What the hell was I doing on the pyramid?

(Getting soaked like everyone else being the obvious answer)

Saw Vintage Trouble last night and they confirmed they are at Glastonbury. They did seem a little vague on the day though.

Excellent, how was the new material ? They've got an new EP out according to their website

Much as I love Vintage Trouble, the speed with which they're adding new material to their oeuvre is bloody frustrating. I first stumbled across them at Y Not in 2012, and their live set doesn't feel like it's changed much since then. Wish they would take 6 months off from touring and get back into the studio for album number 2!

The acoustic EP is good, but does feel like a stop gap.

Summer Camp favourited a tweet of mine wondering if their gig at the start of June means they are around for Glastonbury. Will take that as a self confirmation!

(Was suprisied to see, they actually follow me, as my tweets are protected!)

A perfect fit for mid afternoon John Peel tent me thinks

Anyway the Maccabees have self confirmed, what more excitement do you need...

Saw them early afternoon John Peel in 2013 to quite a sparse crowd noone was really up for it

but then some friends saw them at Williams Green in a packed tent and they were big fans so swings and roundabouts I guess

I saw a bit of that, agreed it wasn't up to much. They covered 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' I think??

Scottish producer Graeme Clark aka The Revenge, whose debut album of " disco, downtempo and slowed-down house" includes a collaboration with Sister Sledge, is playing the Friday

    • Yeah.   Revisit in 2 weeks, then 👀
    • Even with the recent heavy showers it's too early to tell what site conditions would have been like.  The very hot spell would have certainly dried things up considerably, and rain since then has been equalled by a stiff breeze so, without the benefit of actually walking the site, I'd guess ground conditions at present are about perfect.   If we had a festival to look forward to I think the weather watchers would have been at the "all to play for" stage at present.
    • Hush cancelled with a similar event now taking place at EartH and Cate Le Bon doing her own show, maybe others have rearranged gigs?
    • Yeah I find it strange, if they were just a silly act then they wouldn't be headlining the 3rd stage. The likes of vengaboys yes but they aren't doing their own sizeable arena dates.  That looks very weak for what they could actually get, but GC aren't playing 3rd main stage with The 02 and the Coop arena and in a same slot that KSE are. MIW aren't carrying those two dates either, neither are Turnstile and Parkway Drive tickets didn't play out. You gotta do better than Ghost, Blink and Deftones though.    I think you are a bit even if that is not the intention. I'm genuinely shocked they booked them for the avalanche and I think it'll be rammed out of the tent. While ADTR will obviously get a lot too, many Download attendees will had the chance to see them at Slam Dunk. I think 90s fest getting Scooter was class and while there would have been some Download crossover, the Slam Dunk crossover given acts you get on the avalanche will be a different level.
