Lineup 2015

So what you actually mean is that one stage is on it's way up lol. I do think Simple Plan/NFG double is a decent booking if you're into that sport of thing.

Nah, I think the whole thing is a lot stronger, and there happens to be more there to my taste too. I think slot-for-slot every act on Main is as big as or bigger than last year, except maybe Bugg / BMTH. Deadmau5 is huge for NME, Catfish are huge for 3rd down NME, Wombats are a big FR headliner, etc etc. And as already mentioned the Lock Up / Pit has got pretty unanimous praise. Just my take but it just seems like a return to the solidity the line-up used to have rather than how hollowed out and tired it was last year.

It's certainly far from the worst I've seen. Not quite, Vampire Weekender had a bigger tour than any sub this year has done before doing the fest.

Deadmau5 is a big booking but in terms of what R&L is, it's not unreasonable. His main crowd will be at Creamfields the same weekend, it's a bit similar to FNM being huge for Download back in 09 but for R&L NME was fine. Catfish tbf when they would have been booked aren't the size they are getting to now. My issue is a lot of returning acts, while there are acts to fill 2 of the days maybe for me, it's nothing I've not seen before except maybe Ash and DMA's. I think if you're a new goer to the fest, for the money day ticket wise at £70 each you can't complain, I think for a weekend at £216 I'd rather actually get a hotel as I don't fancy camping at Leeds again at all.

Who the fuck are DMA's? Assumed that was an abbreviation but apparently not.

A newer band playing the FR tent, something a bit more original. They have potential to become something bigger I think. I'm hoping Marmozets, DMA's and Ash find themselves onto the Glasto lineup Tuesday as that'd leave only one day I'd bother with.

For an Aussie 'Britpop' band that bizarrely dresses as mid-noughties chavs, DMA's seem like they should be worse than they actually are.

Indeed this is true, they are far from a polished act but they offer something different and aren't too bad.

Something different from just the next indie/rock band coming along with one song, a shit album and disappearing a year later. I do like Catfish though that said, but will agree they are talking above they're stations atm. Remind me of Kasai an when they 1st started out, biggish album and suddenly wanting to take on the world.

They sound like they have got badly mixed up between being an Oasis and Stone Roses tribute band.

No they've deactivated all their twitters after posting some stuff earlier saying like it's the end of The 1975 and showing a black "old Matty" and a pink "new Matty" or something.

Presumably it's some kind of rebrand and the deactivations are for publicity.

Bozo.
