Filthy
Got mine for standing at the roundhouse, so chuffed!
CHRLY
Just got one for Blackpool, very easy
DJL
It was surprisingly easy... Though ticketmaster make you go through a lot of hoops (type in code that appears, decide on ticket insurance, terms and conditions, choose postage option, verified by visa) so be prepared for that (logged into ticketmaster with payments details already added). Good luck to everyone on friday!
FloorFiller
hope it's this easy on Friday! i'm still very unsure of whether i should pay so much for an almost all-Reflektor show or wait until they announce a proper tour (which will probably be the same price) but i guess i could always sell the ticket if i decide not to go last minute, or do both. can't have too much Arcade Fire! formed a band
I'm at bpool Thanks Matt xx Is it standing only there ? I seem to have a seat number
willsnewman
Well that was far easier than I'd expected, got tickets for the first night at the barrowlands within two minutes. How'd you get them early?
LondonTom
Seemed very easy not checked since, but Roundhouse still had tickets left at 9:30. I decided not to bother with tickets this time, if it had been a tad cheaper I think I would have. (Just the timing really). Shame as I think it could be great! (May change my mind by Friday!) As for the album had my first listen last night I love it I thought it was really good, think you might have to be more of an album person to enjoy it maybe. Obviously Reflektor/AfterLife still sound great but other tracks I've really liked so far are Joan of Arc, Normal Person, It's Never over and Here Comes the Night Time II. I think with Arcade Fire you can't tell their best songs until they do a few decent sized gigs and you know which ones bring on the goosebumps when you hear how they perform it live. kingcrawler
How'd you get them early? There was a pre-sale this morning for people who'd pre-ordeded the album from their website.
kaytee...
Seemed far too easy to get presale tickets for Blackpool. Got one at half 9 and another at about 4pm. Not too fussed that I used my presale code for a smaller gig because I think it's gonna be a special one. The last couple of times I saw them was at the GMEX/Central and Hyde Park so this is a dream really.
Zoo Music Girl
So I am finally listening to the album after it arrived today (I must be the last one here to do so!). And I don't know what you naysayers are chatting about. I think it's great and what's more I think it will grow on me, as all their albums have tended to. I reckon it will sound great live. Really hope I get tickets.
EighteenSixty7
This is the first Arcade Fire album I've listened to. It's growing fast. I love the sound of it, not got into it lyrically yet but the sound/feel of the album is brilliant.
Zoo Music Girl
I'm sorry to say this but I don't get it. I think they're ok. They're obviously talented and loads of people love them but I just can't get that into them. Dunno why. And I have tried. vino Your loss! Nah, I can see they're not for everyone. They take a bit of listening to though, I reckon. Funeral wasn't even instant for me and that's an incredible album. Stand-out tracks so far for me are Flashbulb Eyes, Here Comes The Night-Time, Normal Person and Awful Sound (Oh Eurydice). I agree with the previous poster about loving the feel of the album. FloorFiller
Flashbulb Eyes is one of your favourites? i think that, along with Porno (and to a lesser extent Here Comes The Night Time II and Supersymmetry), are the worst songs Arcade Fire have put on an album. absolute b-side material imo the rest of the album's grown on me a little. just think it could've done with some serious editing, and despite it's every so often disco / 80's influence, i still think a lot of the songs are very Arcade Fire by numbers
Zoo Music Girl
Well I've only listened once so far but yeah I really liked it! I agree it's too long and could have done with an edit. But I think over time I'll like it more than The Suburbs, which I loved at the time but less so now. mrtourette
Good point made in the TITP thread that pre-sale tickets may have been easy to get as maybe not many people used the official site to pre-order the album. I'd imagine that if it was an 02 pre-sale there would have been more demand.I guess we'll see when the tickets go on general sale.

blue6field
I got to listen to it for the first time last night and this morning and first impressions are very good, definitely will take a few listens to get it and am pretty sure as with all arcade fire songs once I've seen it performed live it will take on a completely different perspective. I'd imagine that if it was an 02 pre-sale there would have been more demand. I guess we'll see when the tickets go on general sale. I have found that pre-sales in general are fairly easy in terms of getting tickets. For example, I thought there would be no chance of getting tickets to see Blur at Wolverhampton Civic Hall last year, as they were the first set of small gigs they'd done since 2009. As it turns out, it was a breeze. Same with Pulp for Brixton academy. I think as you say the official site thing helps, I also think ticket price would put some (including me) off. Sure they'll be great gigs though!

rachbon
Listened to the new album today, I like it, it's a bit different for them but also seems very Arcade Fire if that makes sense. The previous two albums were growers but I did end up loving them, I think this one will be the same. I'm definitely trying for tickets tomorrow. formed a band
I've had a couple if listens , it's clearly a grower and the proof will be in the live shows but there is something sitting not quite right , can't out my finger on it but it wasn't helped by watching that long play full of celeb cameos on you tube
windy_miller
I have had the album on repeat since Sunday. I can't stop listening to it. I was a bit unsure on my first listen, but is has definitely grown on me. I think it is actually my favourite album of the year. I can't get "Here Comes The Night Time" out of my head and "Afterlife" should be the dancefloor hit of the year.
