subs and others headers

they could and it'd be awesome but not sure they'd be booked back so soon to do it, I know DIzzee was but he's a lot more mainstream and all that right now

although if we had:

DM

FATM

Massive Attack

FM

Faithless

Guetta/Calvin

Elbow

Noel G

Pixies

how's it look? I'd be tempted to switch Guetta and Faithless but they'll bring a crowd at Glasto still

If the national drop a critically well received album before next Feb I could see them headlining the Other stage. I can't see that, with the success of the 2nd album and her history with the festival, florence would warrant anything other than closing a night.

I'm still crossing my fingers for the return of Underworld. They would make a great Sunday night headliner on Other. Always visually on the ball and they know how to give a good gig that leaves the crowd happy.

Pyramd subs: 1 crap british guitar band with a hit album or 2, 1 "classic" act that is too niche for the audience waiting for pop and something truly dire like plan B.

thing is though who is your dance headliner on other if it isn't Guetta/Calvin? I'm going based on The Prodigy waiting another year to play.

I'd put Faithless on Other header for the dance act but I can't think of a suitable act to take Pyramid sub who is that style, unless god hoping not, Example was to get the sub bump up?

I think Basement Jaxx will be there next year as they are touring again now with a new single out which i would expect to have an album to follow. They haven't played at Glasto as far as I know since 2005

Here are a load of names I've thought of, some I realise are possibly not big enough to sub the pyramid or headline the other, but I'd be shocked if at least a couple of these don't end up in those slots:

Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Rudimental, Disclosure, Black Keys, The Strokes, Florence & The Machine, Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand, Stereophonics, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Snow Patrol, Lily Allen, Pixies, The National, Beady Eye, Nine Inch Nails, Foals, The Script, Kraftwerk, Snoop Dogg, MGMT, MIA, Sigur Ros...

Some quite dullish bands being chucked around

Nine Inch Nails (reunion hype and played before)

System Of A Down (festival regulars would be very succesful however doubt it happening)

Rage Against The Machine (played before)

Thrty Seconds To Mars (they would actually play three or four down Pyramid but would headline Other)

Queens of the Stone Age

Rammstien

PYRAMID - Noel Gallagher before Elbow, Screaming Flo before Depeche Mode, Snow Patrol before Fleetwood Mac

OTHER HEADLINERS - NIN, Hot Chip, Calvin Harris

I fancy Friendly Fires/Bon Iver/The National/Janelle Monae/Black Keys/Suede for the Pyramid, Massive Attack and Earth Wind and Fire for West Holts, Maccabees and White Lies for the John Peel, My Bloody Valentine and Band Of Horses for the Park and Barry Gibb for the Legends slot (off the top of my head)

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
