After spending most of my evening watching Public Enemy and Stones videos on YouTube, I'm much more leaning towards Public Enemy. At least it looks like they're putting some effort into their shows.

With The Stones, I get the impression it's going to be the crowd making the show rather than the band themselves making it. I do expect that The Stones will start before Public Enemy though, so I'll position myself over by the left side of the Pyramid for the start of the set and then I can make a relatively quick dash over to PE if I realise it isn't for me.

Friday: Nas or Chic I fancy, but not a single one of my crowd will want to go, so may shoot off on my own or may follow the crowd

Saturday: Rolling Stones

Sunday: Phoenix

Arctics/Portishead

Rolling Stones

The XX

I was thinking itd take something major to draw me away from the Arctics, but they sure managed to do it. Gonns be a very tough call. Almost as big as the Nick CaveSmashing Pumpkins clash

Chic on Friday

Wasn't going to go for the Stones but I think on reflection I will.

Sunday is looking like being a caberet / circus night as none of the headliners are appealing to me at all so far.

It seems mad that I have horrible clashes on Friday and Saturday whilst Sunday I don't really care about any of them.

As things stand will probably end up at Chic on Friday, Stones on Saturday (the art of compromise in a marriage at work here!) and possibly Phoenix on the Sunday though I'm kind of hoping that something better comes up on one of the smaller stages.

Would love if Sinead O'Connor popped up somewhere else and did 2 sets or headlined the Sunday instead. I'd love to see her but my hubby is not a huge fan.

    • Ok, ok, I have done it! Not because of limitless upvoats but to support the Efestivals site.
    • She was/is 100% in the mix, but I don't know specific timings and how it relates to that interview. They've clearly gone after her, again.   It could be read in a number of ways - she was in negotiations at that point, she was talking about BST (and he's interpreted it, as we have, as Glastonbury). Who knows
    • So sad to see the news that John Douglas of the Trashcan Sinatras has died. They only released their latest album last week and it is wonderful.  So underrated and a member of such a great long running band that have meant so much to me over the last 40 years. https://trashcansinatras.com/blogs/news/john-douglas-1963-2026
    • listening to jamie east's podcast earlier he said that he'd heard fender is confirmed, and that as of 2 weeks ago Madonna hadn't been approached.
    • which would make that Graham Norton interview nonsense .... although obviously things change
