they worked their asses of for the past 4/5 years... its when you get bands playing the same slot 4/5 years in a row but C&S have grown year on year... from a half 2 in the morning slot at the Hub (can't remember where else they played), to West Holts... 2nd at Download... I say credit too them for sticking at what they do and killing it! awesome at Download and have never disappointed when seeing them live

I hope they play 'Blind Faith', and the the BBC record the performance, pausing to zoom in on a topless sweaty young person down the front, singing along like it's the most profound thing that's ever happened to him.

That feels like it would be a really original piece of television.

i'm not the biggest fan of Chase & Status - their music always seemed a bit 'laddy' to me (and the majority of fans seem to fit right into that spectrum too) - but i wouldn't be annoyed if i ended up watching them before an act i wanted to see (e.g. if they took the Pendulum spot before a headliner). and i must admit that i do love Blind Faith and would definitely have my hands in the air in a euphoric moment when it drops

I saw them last year at Leeds O2, not I venue I like, mainly because of the over priced and crap beer. That night the support were the incredibly bad, red light who were beyond poo, and Yasmin who was ok but seemed a really odd support choice. Added to this there were a lot of "laddy"s who were too scared to go in the main mosh pit, so made their own at the back, annoying everyone around them. So lets say I wasnt having fun

But C&S came on and all that changed, they were brilliant, loved every minute of it, came out of there with a cracking big smile on my face biggrin.png

I think they would go down a storm as other stage headliners

    • Tbf that happened to me in 2022 so not a one off. 40 euros to drive down 3 streets. I'd have done a runner but the reason for getting the taxi in the first place is cos I couldn't walk no more.
    • I was fully prepared (waterproof jacket, extra pair of socks, foldable umbrella), but after four hours in the rain (from Geese through Oklou to Florence Road), it was just too much. Already at the hotel, let's hope tomorrow's better.
    • It’s rare that I watch question time, but I almost felt sorry for Kenyon, he seemed like a guy just brought off the street which effectively is what he was, made worse by the fact Burnham and the Tory guy were very strong debaters. I think Burnham was very aware not to go too hard on Kenyon and risk him getting sympathy, in fact he pretty much ignored him.
    • Shambles. Transport and comms garbage. Been looking forward to this since last June and have never been to a more disorganised festival in 30+ years.  Why we were told the whole festival was cancelled for the night if they had put back shows for a few hours?  Pissed off to say the very least and put a huge downer on the rest of the weekend.
    • Rotten communication. Actually god awful. Posting sporadically on IG, closing Mordor only to reopen and cause some serious carnage. Left the festival as it got too much for my 16year old daughter. She was devastated about Alex G and Mac…but TV girl could have saved it. Took us until 1220 and already home to find out they might/are playing. Pish.    and on another note, this festival has lost its bastard soul. Gone are the wee tents with local sellers selling vinyl, t shirts etc, now you can buy a 50 f**king eur official T-shirt. The ar*e is truely out of this event now. I went to Porto for the first time last year and it was fab. I love Barcelona and the line up is always stacked, but this festival is a corporate loss take. Hopefully a better day tomorrow.
