Neil honestly mate I wouldnt listen to or be encouraged by Nal's opinion about festival booze.

Geezer'd drink it through a sweaty sock. He survives for a week on YeoValley frozen yoghurts, dirt cheap booze and Rennie.

But I'm all for your idea. Good solid Merlot, strong enough to do the job.

Sainsbury's already sell wine in plastic bottles. I haven't seen the ones in the following article but I did buy some other plastic bottles of their wine for Secret Garden Party this year.http://www.ukwinesonline.co.uk/wp/183/

Apologies - link didn't work

I'd be interested, but I can't say how much I would buy. A good merlot available at a reasonable price in plastic bottles would definitely appeal, I don't like non-cask ale, hate warm lager and I'm not a big fan of spirits + mixers, so a decent wine that I don't have to decant to take would be good. It'd be a bit price dependent though, If I could get a similar quality wine in a glass bottle for £2 cheaper then I can buy a plastic bottle to decant into for barely anything.

Ones that are sold in campsites at non-ridiculous prices would be ace though.

In short no. I drink a lot of wine, but at festivals - I drink anything but. I too am a bit of a wine snob, wont drink it in a pint glass, wont drink it from the bottle, wont drink it if its too warm or too cold. Of course if I am thisty/desperate, I'll pretty much drink anything, but I'm very rarely desperate.

Just being honest.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
