dentalplan
I don't know if she's exclusive to Meltdown but Siouxsie would make a great addition.
Frankly Mr Shankly
I thought that. And Iggy, he isn't anywhere else is he?
Matt42
Could Arcade Fire have been lined up to play but have had to pull out due to pregnancies therefore delaying the new album?
Paul ™
Wim said in an interview that they wouldn't be touring again till the fall due to them wanting to finish the album first. But obviously that will be delayed due to Regine being pregnant (and perhaps Marika to a lesser extent).
thesecretingredientiscrime
Still think Arcade fire are too big to headline bestival, if they were about they would have been headlining Glastonbury

TheSeventhOne
They'd definitely be a bigger draw than Elton and The Prodigy.
dentalplan
I can see them being at Glastonbury & T in the Park 2014.

dentalplan
Prodigy sold out MK Bowl, Arcade Fire didn't sell out Hyde Park, not to mention it's been reported a large number of the crowd left after Mumford & Sons, so nah you're wrong. People really do underestimate the Prodigy at times. I'm not even going to reply to the Elton comment. Frankly Mr Shankly
Easy enough saying The Prodigy sold out MK Bowl, but that line up was ridiculous. Plus Hyde Park had the higher capacity back then, surely?
Paul ™
they're not too big for Bestival & they're not bigger than some of the past headliners. That is all.
Gucci Piggy
Not saying Arcade Fire are too bog for Bestival, because I don't think they are, but acts like Elton John, The Cure and Stevie Wonder are much more limited on the festivals they can play, so are more likely to play a smaller festival such as Bestival than Arcade Fire are. Justiceforcedave
...which brings us back to who is the third headliner? I must know!

Gucci Piggy
Sorry but you're kind of wrong on this one. The Cure played Bestival before they played R&L & Elton hasn't played a proper festival for ages, he could have done Glastonbury, Barclay Cards Summer Time Hyde Park thing or Hard Rock Calling instead, so I'd say they chose to do Bestival because they wanted to do it, not because it was their only option so to speak. Stevie Wonder I guess fits what you're saying, as he played Glastonbury & HRC first. But where else could Arcade Fire play apart from Glastonbury? They've done R&L recently, they've done Hyde Park, I personally think they could do T in the Park but others don't, there aren't many more options for them either... Zacko
Just seen Bestival have announced Duke Dumont as playing in a new Dance Arena celebrating ten years, so I'm guessing that's where Macca will be as previously speculated on here. I wonder what the capacity will be...
rexclark
Not really interested in Duke Dmont but I am looking forward to getting more info on the new area.
smogo
Hopefully a whole bunch of biggish dance acts will be announced along with the new arena. The lineup's a bit light on that front so far.

monkey1989
i wanna know about the new arenas but i guess because Bestival is far away in september there in no rush, i hope they come up with a late night area in the vein of shangra la at glasto but maybe not so big

Frankly Mr Shankly
After watching the Coachella stream I kinda hope Vampire Weekend are the last headliner, they played a blinding set.
