If two bands aren't seen as big enough for a headline slot and are given coheadline, then it's always bad.

not from an enjoyment stand point. Arctics and Queens are the band that released the 2 best albums of the last 12 months, imo, and were the 2 main acts i wanted this year.

The thing is, Neil said it surprised him 'didn't expect that', could always be sarcastic but yanno,

Would a band that has been discussed at length really surprise him?

Well if he took Arctics off the rumour list, you'd expect a very strong reason. So if it then turned out they were headlining, he would be surprised surely...

Yes, I would say the picture is the bigger clue (for want of a better word). Although it should be remembered efests could be having a laugh :P

I'm just passing on what I've been told. In fact I haven't really said anything because I don't think I'm allowed, but it doesn't take a genius to figure it out.

At this moment in time I can't really have a lot of faith in it, so I don't expect you guys to.

Are you trolling or what?

going by what lucky said, lucky said to Neil his source and Neil flat out said that was wrong didn't he?

Say if lucky's info turned out to be right and Neil's to be wrong, he'd probably be surprised wouldn't he?

Oh yeah and I see you reading this thread Neil :)

The link and the picture of Blink that was next to it has now gone from the Reading 2014 page...

The Strokes & Pulp were bad?

Plus Blur co-headlined T in the Park in 2009, so it's not always an indication of the bands size... though it probably will be in this case.

think that was more down to T having four bands who could all headline so instead of booting one of them, they gave them a 'co-headliner' tag (although let's be honest, Blur were headlining and Snow Patrol were subbing)

I think Blink would surprise everyone as it's so soon and weren't big enough the first time.

Nope, I'm just explaining what is going on.

What I'm saying is its difficult to trust a first-time source until they've been proven (hopefully) right. I have no idea if what I've been told is correct or complete bullshit, but I'm passing it on as at the end of the day I feel that's what we're all here for.

In fact, I'm being careful with what I say because as a silly little student I'm lucky to get anything at all :P

At the moment everything I'm seeing/hearing/whatever adds up, so as a journalist I'm rolling with it :P

I feel like The Strokes should have headlined. I love both bands but it's weird that they shuffled things about for an IOW sub .

But that's irrelevant really because they both have headlined before and stuff, when we're looking at two bands that they're admitting aren't big enough to headilne both legs, then I think it's a cop out.

    • It's gone past can I afford it, and more is it worth it?   For over half the shows I go to, buy a ticket the week of the show and chance it that it is on tickets or a seat filler.
    • Yep - Richard Tandy was in the band.
