Interesting...so theyre playing Dublin on 1st August but then still going back to Europe to play Norway 6th August i think. Am i right in saying 6th August is their latest date as of yet?

7th August 2013 Øya Festival Oslo, Norway 9th August 2013 Sziget Budapest, Hungary 6th September 2013 Flughafen Berlin Tempelhof Berlin, Germany

Just got these dates from blur's website, so a nice gap for blur, wouldn't have thought they'd bother doing Germany a month after Hungary without a few dates in between?

Oh right, i missed out a lot, cheers :P yeah, the gap does looks very R+L shaped. Depends how much you read into the SOAD comment i guess and how much you trust Damon's 'no UK festival' comment. I think they're still in the running personally but then again, the SOAD quote would suggest against. We'll see,

That's true about the SOAD comment but it can be taken a few ways, one of which is 'we've played with the headliner before and they're alright guys and we've been offered a fuckload of money so we agreed to it', rather than say them looking up to the headliner so agreeing to it in a sabbath/metallica scenario?

My opinion this blur date could make them less likely. The chances are if they were going to play reading/leeds they would play electric picnic like the cure.

Would they play in dublin 4 weeks before electric picnic if this was the case?

The comments on blur are a bit stupid. Why would blur go back to europe a month after other dates, they arent going back to europe, they are based in europe, if the promoter wants them to play sept a flight to germany isnt exactly hard, they arent carting a huge stage setup from the US.

Who knows whats going on but the surrounding dates make no difference really

"blur are coming to DUBLIN first time since '99 and only show in the UK or Ireland. Playing the Irish Museum of Modern Art on Thursday 1st August. Tickets On Sale Thursday 7th March."

That rules them out then.

    • Had a lovely day in Prague now off to the festival. Very excited hope we all have fun regardless of weather!!
    • Iran are winning. If US aren't going to do the full invasion thing, then they may as well admit defeat and do what is needed to get the strait opened. Iran obviously have decided they can take any pain and stick it out as they have all the cards with this Hormuz thing. But obviously Trump can't admit defeat, and Israel just want this to keep going...and maybe it will carry on like this till after elections in both US and Israel towards the end of this year. God knows how the global economy will be by then.
    • All kicking off in N Ireland, all aided and abetted on videos that get circulated on social media and Elon Musk and Tommy Robinson telling people to take to the streets. Social media needs regulating same as publishers, if they have algorithms that push whatever to people then they are effectively publishers anyway. The problem is just going to get worse and worse.
    • A lot of acts put him up on their Insta seems to have touched a lot of hearts across the industry, didnt know too much about him but read a bit now seems like great guy
